Can you clarify .. Generally with a whole life policy the cash value is a living benefit and yes you can borrow from it but you have to pay it back because the loan earn compound interest and this money is taken from the face amount if you die .. Now a Universal policy is more flexible you can withdraw from it .. but again I’m not understanding how is this better......than mutual funds ..

Hello, so you cannot compare mutual funds to whole life insurance. Because with mutual funds you are investing your money, with whole life insurance you’re taking your savings and putting it in a vehicle where you can earn compound interest. From there you’re taking those funds and investing. Correct, when you get a loan you do need to pay the funds back as the insurance company will charge you simple interest for any outstanding balance. You can withdraw from both whole and universal life policies. However, when you withdraw the funds you affect the growth which is why we suggest taking a loan instead because you’re not disturbing the principal.

Due to life I haven’t saved anything for retirement. I finally budgeted and started my company 401k plan at age 39. My fear is that I started too late and will not have enough to retire by age 65-70. On the flip side I currently have zero consumer or student debt. I expect my home to be fully paid off by September 2025.

No. Change your mindset in terms of how you utilize the credit cards. Only use what you can pay back fast. Do not use them as if they were your income. You must increase your income to sustain your credit utilization. Avoid if possible chasing credit card points and rewards because that will put in a hole you might not be able to dig yourself out of. There is nothing wrong with credit cards per se. It is how you use them.

They're going to suck up that thousand reall quick from you. Buy annuities with your money through a legitimate broker. The cost is limited ro your profit margin. The best return is nearly 10%. The worst return about 1 1/2%. The only way they could make a 1000% return is though a particular stock that may have split more than once in the market. Since they aren't naming that stock, beware!
