Great story. My best friend was kicked out of his house for having a black girlfriend. He was 19 at the time. I invited both him and his girlfriend to come stay at my house in the meantime and I don’t regret it one bit. They lived with me until they finally got an apartment and eventually got married! His parents refused to come to the wedding and cut him off entirely. But love always wins in the end. 💕

it's your normalcy. However, in America it's different because of past history and present. It's going to take quite a few decades if not centuries, before the US has the mindset of Europe, thanks to pass discretions. I think the more people have open dialogue, the better it'll become.

Wow! The irony of an American going to Europe and acting weird about interracial relationships. That's so crazy to me. I'm not really sure what is going on the US. @Angie Gi this is definitely not enforced here in the US. I've lived in multiple states here and got married in the US, and have not heard of such blood testing. I heard that decades ago it was common practice for engaged couple to get blood tests to check for STDs but it was not treated like a regulation and is less common now since nowerdays many people get such test done by default whenever they have a physical or some doctor's visit.

Preferring to socialize, be with & date or marry one's own kind is NOT necessarily racism. I happen to prefer the company of others who look like me, without shade or hostility to anyone else. People are too quick to yell racism. I have a right to my feelings, just as others have rights to theirs; there is no need to call names or indict attitudes.
@parrismack35764 жыл бұрын
Laureen Williams the question is why do you not decide to socialize with people that don’t look like you. Are you scared of the color of their skin. Does that bother you? Bc that’s kinda what you making seem like. You don’t have to marry someone that doesn’t look like you. But to say that you CHOOSE not to socialize with anyone outside of your race IS a problem. In my opinion that’s what I call not being racist BUT BEING PREJUDICE. it’s your right to prefer who you want to be around but at the end of the day people like you... act like your scared of the color of someone else’s skin. Hope you have a very blessed rest of your day though ma’am🙂

Cee cee society will continue to be the way it is until mankind return back to God. Mankind has strayed away from their creator so they do not know who they are, they are made in Gods image and God is love . Mankind suppose to love each other and not hate. Hate is of the devil , and it's the devil that is working through mankind do cause all this chaos and separation. God said people perish because they lack knowledge, if mankind only know that they are God image and He is love , they would love each other. So mankind needs to repent and turn from their wicked ways ,pray , seek God and God will heal our nation from racism

Imagine everyone being able to see people for who they are , not what they look like !!! It's so simple yet hard for those resistance to change. Charisma- your a beautiful person inside and out. It's so endearing to see how much you care, respect, love Cole ! So REAL cause action proves louder than words. You show it everyday girl ! I'm sure people who REALLY know you will agree with me. Even though I don't personally know you, I can understand how you feel when resistance come your way. I am Asian and my husband is Caucasian . Married 20 years this year and 23 years total- and counting ! ........ 2 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. In my experience, time has been the biggest change in resistant people . More noticed my character - staying devoted to my marriage than my appearance. May you and Cole have a long long long long long marriage ! God Bless

I’m biracial, and grew up in DC. I appreciate you talking about this. My family often talk about race. I was raised black and even though I knew I was also half white, the reality was I had to live like a black woman. It took a long time for me to understand who I am, and how the world perceived me, but I did eventually find peace with it. I’m proud to be both and I’m happy to see more people like you guys! Keep loving each other!

I've heard that from biracial kids now and then and have to remind them that it's a responsibility and a blessing of knowledge to be perceived as black when the chips could have fallen either way. Would you rather have been perceived as something else and been oblivious to the trials of people who do not have that luxury? Some non-black people have empathy and refuse to ignore racism but many choose oblivion because it's not their problem. The latter is no way to live and let live.

I think that couples from different backgrounds can fall apart because of a failure to handle differences, talk about their challenges (and any stress they create), and external societal judgment and prejudice. After watching you guys videos from the past, I haven't seen nor since any type of negativity in ya'll relationship. Those are the type of signs that you know that y'all heading for a blessed and healthy marriage. And the only way to guarantee any chance of success is to know what you're up against. I wish you guys nothing but for a safe and happy engagement... Showing you love all the way from Texas👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿🤠🤠🤠

I stumbled on your page a week ago and I just binged your whole channel. I love your light, love and the joy that just exudes out of the both of you. Very handsome Cole who is funny and resilient, and the delightful very beautiful Charisma with her enterprising and supportive nature. What's not to love? I just want to encourage you to stay strong and hold on to what you have. Your geninue steadfast love for each other will leave it's indelible mark on time. I started watching you cause you're an interracial couple and I'm always intrigued by beautiful people. You've helped me come to terms with difficult decisions I have to make in my own life and I really appreciate that. You and the surely gorgeous kids you'll have, will be an important part of history. Paving the way for future generations to come. Their existence will lead to even more civilization and improvement upon the human race as a whole. These times, with these protests are necessary to prove to all people that we're all equal non more equal than the other. One day we'll look back and say it's cause of couples like you, like the Lovings, that we are able to have what we have today. Just stay strong and positive. Like water off a ducks back it's a necessary evil to get to the other side. Don't let thier venom get to you. There's people out here who love just the way you are.

Indeed. Charisma could have entered Miss America and won. Two people with high emotional intelligence. That's what it takes to look beyond outward appearances: colour or disability. Not everyone has that level of intelligence, Cole and Charisma, so even after this beautiful explanation, they still won't get it. Enjoy your happy lives! Charisma don't worry about that dude who disrespected you that same thing happened to me at Wal-Mart...but little did the guy know my husband is black but looks white...No Joke! The gentle disregarded me as if I wasn't there but he had a full on conversation with a BLACK man who looks white and married over 20 years to a dark skin black woman! I honestly chuckle everytime I think of that time at Wal-Mart.
