Seeking knowledge is fardh. Don't just follow a sheikh blindly
@afnankhan59893 ай бұрын
One does not need to stick with just one sheikh; they can seek guidance from multiple scholars. However, they must choose to follow the opinion they believe is closest to the Sunnah, not based on personal desires. They should remember that they will stand before Allah to answer for their choices, and Allah knows best what was in their heart-whether they followed an opinion out of genuine belief that it was closest to the Sunnah or simply due to personal preference. The evidence for asking questions to more than one scholar can be found in ibn majah 2721 where you ca see that abu musa Ashari radi Allahu Anh saying a questioner to ask Ibn Masud. If by asking multiple scholars, one would be misguided, then Sahaba would have warned against it. Contrary to that, Sahaba have encouraged people to ask questions to more knowledgeable people and try to find the answer which is most closest to sunnah according to one's capability.

This is for the layman, and how will a layman know what is sunnah, when he is a LAYMAN?
@afnankhan59893 ай бұрын
@@naathnaath6377 There’s a difference between a layman and someone who lacks common sense. A layman is someone who has the sense to understand the evidence provided by his Sheikh. Stop portraying the laymen of this Ummah as if they are senseless. By your logic, even the laymen of the Qadiyanis would be forgiven if the truth reaches them, simply because they’re following their Sheikh. We will all be questioned according to our sense and intellect, based on our individual capacities. However, if we reject the truth after it reaches us due to arrogance or blind loyalty to our Sheikh, we will be held accountable. You are fighting for a wrong cause and will be held accountable for those who believed by your messages that following sheikh is sufficient and ends up doing wrong stuff even when truth reaches them. Scholars deserve to be asked questions but the Ultimate following and itteba is haq of Allah and his messenger.
@afnankhan59893 ай бұрын
@@Justalayman why do you think this is cherry-picking? If a scholar provides evidence from the Quran and Sunnah for his fatwa, offering translations and explanations, and another scholar responds based on his own reasoning without clear evidence (perhaps due to lack of awareness) or uses evidence that isn't convincing (by making analogies from other hadiths), then an individual who accepts the fatwa of the first scholar because it seems closer to the Sunnah is not cherry-picking.In fact, the concept of cherry-picking could be more applicable to your stance, where an individual might selectively choose scholars, which can be even more problematic. According to your logic, a layman could choose a more lenient scholar like Yasir Qadhi and follow him. Then, if confronted about any mistakes, they could simply say, "No, no, don't show me hadith or Quran; I’m just a layman following a scholar."
@user-ze9tj9yj4t3 ай бұрын
@@JustalaymanWhat you’re saying makes sense logically, but realistically we have to realise that following one shaykh in everything has the following obvious problems: (1) it can lead to fanaticism over this shaykh and believing he is true in everything and (2) that shaykh doesn’t have fatawah in everything nor does he have the time to answer every single one of your many questions, so it’s impossible to actually apply this to our every day lives. One must be sincere and take the safe view when possible, and try to be consistent to the best of their ability, but to only follow one shaykh in everything is not possible in reality and it leads to clear issues and contradictions.

When growing up there was no Salafis in the masjid. There were only Ahle sunnat wal jammat. They then started to send and Imams from Najd and fund masjids . Started having Islamic circles to target youngsters and misleading them. That's why so many sects appear. If our beloved prophet did not pray for Najd why should we follow them. They can't even get the moon sighting correct. The four Imams had respect for each other. Stay away from Najd and follow the correct Aqeedah. Look at our history Allah subhana walla thallah gave victory too lthe pious such as Salahuddin Ayyubi. Look in to their Aqeedah and madhab. Then look at the Najadis who broke up the Uthman khilafah by joining with the Khufar against the Muslims.

The reason I am challenging this misguided approach of cherry-picking scholars is that it is hindering effective Dawah. Dawah has become limited to non-Muslims, while within the Muslim community, some scholars are backing practices like interest-based mortgages, corrupt beliefs, Islamic movie nights in the houses of Allah, acting in movies, and women appearing in front of men. When people are confronted about these practices, they often hide behind the flawed logic of blindly following scholars without using their own intellect. This mindset is also diminishing the love of seeking knowledge. People are being told that if they become students of knowledge, they are no longer considered laymen and won't be forgiven for blindly following. What they don’t realize is that even as laymen, they won’t be forgiven for blindly following a scholar without question. They must understand that there is a real possibility of ending up in Hell along with the scholar they followed.Such awareness should actually inspire a desire to seek knowledge, as it becomes clear that merely following a scholar is not enough to secure a place in Jannah. It’s not as if Allah has made us animals without the ability to think and discern. Consider the example of a mechanic. Even if I don't have a lot of knowledge about fixing cars, I still try my best to understand the problem and seek out mechanics who give sincere advice and don’t cheat me. Now, imagine telling someone to stick with one mechanic forever, no matter what. It’s illogical and unacceptable when it comes to worldly matters, so how can we apply this thinking to matters of Deen, where fallible men are involved?
When ignorants cannot continue discussion with knowledge, 👆 this how there attitude becomes. SALAM!! وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا

I don't follow any school. Never once have I been told I must follow. Anything I'm unsure about I simply research online, KZbin videos etc so I am not cherry picking, I'm simply looking for rules according to Islam. who is liable then if it's wrong me or the video I gained information from? Because they could come from a school of thought? This shieke even chooses opinions and includes strongest one in some of his videos. He doesn't say this is from school x, y, z. Why can't we just choose strongest opinion? And if we follow a school which clearly teaches something that is not the sunnah, are we to follow it? If not that contradicts that we have to follow school of thought and should rather follow strongest opinion?
@adelow3 ай бұрын
Something you need to understand is that. When a Mujtahid says that "This is the correct opinion" then it is only according to him after looking at the evidences! The "Correct opinion" is only the Preferred view of a Mujtahid. If you take Ibn baz or Al-Albani, they both have books on "The authentic prayer of the Prophet" yet they still differ in how this prayer is. Now when the Hanafi or Hanbali school has an official position, they are also saying "This is the correct opinion". But it is according to them. The Ulama in the introductions to fiqh, they mention that when it comes to the Ultimate truth in a mas'alah which is ijtihadiyah, nobody knows the correct opinion except Allah. Hence for the laymen, they blindfollow whoever they trust the most. And the reason the 4 schools are the most trustable, the most Refined by the Scholars of islam, etc, is becausw they have done ijtihaad for more than 800 years. Yet a contemporary scholar today is nowhere near the calibre of a Ijtihaad of a madhab.
