If you have a steady flow of income (not in naira), you will be ok. We just came back from a ten day trip for Shiloh and things are expensive. You can feel and see the hunger and desperation from the people. If your safety won’t be compromised and you can conveniently afford “good” education for your children, if you can deal with the brutality, bribery, injustices, etc. Then, you will be able to cope.

Good morning my dear sister, l came across your Chanel by chance. Please l want to comment about the culture of respect for older people. I have been in UK since l was 12 yrs and now in my 50s, l can tell you that the English culture have respect for their elders just like we do in Nigerian. Look at the royal family they learn to be confident and show respect to their elders. Please our black children need to copy the good and God fearing attitude of the English culture. This is down to us as parents to teach our children manners and ethics. I pray that the Lord will continue to give our children the wisdom to apply the knowledge they are gaining in the western world/ where ever they found themselves. Thank you very much for your show, l like reality shows like this.

I visit Nigeria every July in the past 10 years, life in Nigeria is well better off after having a house, no matter the size and a small business to generate income. I only need 200k to live in Nigeria.

@evansidehen .. I .. have moved back home , in the just past year, despite the turn of economic pressure owing to a dynamic forward thinking and producing national govt's action to put the country back in upswing and secure stability .. even the climate / weather change has dealt blows.. however, with all that, if you cut your coat 🧥 according to your cloth and your pocket, and do not expect to cut a piece of the foreign world and transplant for you to live in, you will need really very little to be perfectly comfortable.. however, there are starting costs because you have to provide very sensible facility for your self and family and have a sensible legit source of income .. have a sensible outlook and expectation, don't think you can reproduce uk / usa / europe / ..etc where you want to live, all you need is a comfortable secure shelter, self generated power, an effective vehicle for transport that serves a functional need other than just being a vehicle, a very modest income to take care of feeding and little day to day spending, sensible lifestyle and habits .. and best of all live rurally .. you're good for it, but if you want Lagos glitzy life, then wait till you have £200,000 before you come home.. otherwise, plan well with little and make the most of it quietly .. .. Íréé óò ✨🤷🏾♂️✨

@josbeam8550 , what are you saying? If you had done well enough b4 relocating to your London from Nigeria, you wouldn't be saying what you are saying about Nigeria. The best place to make money is where there's economic and infrastructural crisis so that solution can be provided. There's money to be made in Nigeria and if you only see negativity that is on you. Nonsense 😮

Problem with Nigeria is you have to make your own everything. Electricity, water , security, medical and the list goes on. There are laws for the rich and the other for the poor. If you need to move then move be positive and yes, there are difficulties ahead but you can do it.

I am excited for your journey. There are some flaws in all cultures and it will be great for your children to see what Nigeria is like. This is great what you are doing. I advise try growing some of your own food things such as tomatoes, pepper, onions and some leafy greens. I would avoid certain areas due to costs like the heart of Lagos. Also, ignore the naysayers. I was born and raised in the UK and I do not even bother trying to explain to people why I like Nigeria and would love to move back. All the best!

1) You DEFINITELY don't need N500M Naira. Are you running to be the next President ? 2) The most important thing is your housing which is not only critical but essential. Also, you need to structure your business so that it can generate your cash flow in different cycles dues to the nature of the Nigerian economy. 3) If you can get a small land for farming your produce that will be so awesome! 4) Above all else, please be disciplined with your spending by knowing that there is a massive difference between needs and wants! The only people who ‘need’ N500m are those who just want to show off to their relatives. If that is what it takes, few people would relocate. How much does a typical middle income to high income earner make in Naija? Yes, there are challenges but cost of living is comparatively inexpensive. In my opinion, one should sit down and calculate properly 2 years of living expenses, and that should be what they move with. And have a solid plan about how to generate cash flow once there.

Please approach relocation as if you're 33% of what's you're actually worth in diaspora. That gives you 17% wiggle room. And 50% equity for those who wanna go back abroad. Anyhow, Nigeria is not the only country in Africa. My transition has involved Rwanda & Uganda... narrowly Botswana... but this ties into my plans. As for culture, you have to keep them in Nigeria and school them on our morals, ethics and etc. I never liked it as a kid in tgs 80s, but I'm glad about it now. You may well not need N500 million to relocate back to Nigeria. I personally do think you need that much or something very close to that to maintain your standard of living as compared to what is obtainable in the UK , even considering that its more difficult to get certain things in Nigeria that are free in the UK , which you take for granted while U are here in the UK, you just do not realise it yet. In Nigeria you will pay for everything, including being carried above water when flood hits your street in Lekki. It all comes down to what you want to tolerate when you are there. To be considerate , you need at least N200 million cool cash to go back to Nigeria and maintain a decent standard of living. Unless you want to go skint when you get there, which you are allowed to do anyway. Your life , you choice. For me , if I ever dream of relocation back to that shithole of a country, it has to be N500m , which I have now already anyways .

@kaysmellsgood It was an example, may be not a very good one , however it was to highlight that everything is paid for, including people carrying you on their backs to cross flooded streets when wherever they end up living gets flooded. When people are away from Nigeria, they feel nostalgic, of course that is what happens until they do the so called return and Nigeria happens to them. Nigeria is a place where if you are killed, those that killed you can go Scot free, like that. If you are kidnapped, you are on your own. The police can shoot you and nothing will happen, absolutely nothing. Sometimes when people start saying they want to go back after they have left, I know its amnesia. The question is - Has the reason that made you leave changed ? Mostly the answer is no , so what is wrong with you. I pray that Nigeria does not happen to you, because that is what will really Open your eyes to the real danger that is Nigeria , waiting to happen.
