IMO, if the subject came up in a conversation with the neighbor about planting trees on their property, you could offer. But I’m with Laura. I think to just “out of the blue” bring it up and suggest it to them, might be a bit presumptuous. After all, if they wanted trees there, they would probably have put some in. A lot depends on how well you know them on a social level.

Your neighbors probably watch your videos so you might not need to ask. 👍
@themamabearlife3339

They could start the conversation just by simply asking if the view of their storage bothers them. And since many people will deny it, even if it does.... then he could just say, "Well, if you ever get to the point where it does, please just let me know. We would be willing to plants some trees for you for free if you would like them." Then just leave it up to the neighbor to let them know. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Just a friendly offer...

For example, my foxgloves are done blooming, and it looks so bare around them. What would be good to plant around/under them that blooms after them? Or if you could point to some resources...thanks? @Terry A Thank you for mentioning this...Laura and Aaron, In addition, how to restore antique gardens tools such as I inherited - shovels, hoes, pitch fork, and use them decoratively ... maybe? How to create outdoor garden rooms within an overall landscape. Will you ever host a retreat? How about tips and tricks for us scrawny, short gals over 50 who don't want to greet our hubbies at the end of every day with a punch list of garden chores. I'm retired but hubby is not. Will the auger rotate me or will it work easily in clay? How much kick power do I need for that foot weeder? How many of what size bag of compost is reasonable to push on a hand cart down a garden path? I LOVE that you show the various products and plants and mention names. And the hose reel! Wow. Just thanks for working so hard for us and for loving what you do.

My opinion,, I think Laura and Aaron had a great response to that question. To Keep life ordinary, Benjamin wanders out while she ifilming & working in their garden, he is a part of the video for a bit, but not showcased, nor is Samantha Grace. I would love u to do a tour of the Butchart Gardens on Vancouver island. As an Aussie living in Vancouver I wish we had a hose link here. Loved mine back home.

I am born and raised in Victoria BC and Butchart Gardens was a Saturday summer outing and we would stay until evening to walk the gardens at night with the lights and then enjoy the fireworks 💥 😍 Love my beautiful city.

As an Aussie I can say that my local family owned nursery definitely has some proven winners plants available but if you research the plant a little you can also find the same plant... with a less *jazzy* name. Lol. It truly pays to locate your small local nursery and not shop at a big nursery/warehouse like Bunnings. Hope that helps someone.

Thank You BOTH also much for everything you do! Sure, we all watch you and contribute to your success, BUT the knowledge and personality you guys have is what keeps peeps coming back! Laura and Aaron, the fact that you are so you, not fake is your success! I love the fact that you share not only gardening videos, but your kids, your parents, your outings, cooking, etc… This past year was so very difficult, and for me gardening was everything, from keeping me from getting so down and out. You guys are NATURALS!!

I also wanted to say, since you asked, that my favorite videos are the re-cap videos, videos where you're goofing off w/your Mom and doing fun stuff like antiquing or making cocktails, and the everyday videos where you show what projects you are doing or how everything is progressing. I just love your channel, and I am so happy for you that you are doing so well!

I do hope you get to visit Longwood Gardens! I grew up 20 minutes away. When my children the ages of yours, once a month I would leave work early during the week and decompress walking through the gorgeous gardens there. It is the best garden I've ever visited. Too many features to see in one day. My two favorite all-time gardening activities are the Philadephia Flower Show & Longwood Gardens. You put Mackinac Island on my bucket list! Thanks for all you do for us!!!

The side tracking and talking about random stuff with Aaron are what I enjoy most. A lot of the comments seem to be stuff that has been talked about so many times already and if people just watched and listened to the videos they'd know. Well now I'm turning into a cranky old lady! Oh well. Back to the video

OMG! I watch and listen to you and Aaron daily and have for years. Today's video was no exception, but when you said that you would love to go to Longwood Gardens I had to write you. I live in the east coast and have a designed membership for Longwood Gardens. I try to go as frequently as I can throughout all four seasons asking with my girlfriends. I would be more than happy, and thrilled to the core, if you ever wanted to travel to the east coast for vacation and join me as my guests on a Longwood Gardens adventure. I missed meeting you at the Philadelphia Flower Show several years ago.🙄 Longwood Gardens is always worth the trip!! Sharon L

Never worry about waffling, Laura - I watch these videos because I love listening to you and Aaron talk about random things together :D They are kind of like a podcast where you talk about your week, and other random topics sparked by the questions. If anything, I'd like more random waffling haha! Also, it's wonderful to see you so excited about the Hartley - you deserve to have your dreams come true after all the joy you've given us over the years :) You, Aaron & the team work really hard creating videos for us and it's appreciated so much.

Laura, I'm not into fairy gardens but you don't make videos just for me. I may not watch a fairy garden tutorial or just watch a bit, but if I switch it off , then I just go to one of my favorite videos that you've done. I've got to have my Garden Answer fix for the day. Those who do love fairy gardens have a chance to enjoy and that way all your followers get their favorite videos and instructional, inspirational help. Just enjoy your self. A lot of our enjoyment comes from the pleasure you get doing what you love and sharing that with us. Blessings and Happy Hartley !!

My favorite videos are the ones where you highlight specific plants or fully plant certain areas and I love seeing updates on those areas in whatever form. Those kinds of videos are really easy to search and reference. I also love when you just vlog about whatever because those are the most entertaining. Especially if Aaron or your mom are involved. I will watch you do any project, but those are my favorites.
