LOVE your videos. Thanks. Calendula fragrance is reminiscent of childhood moisturizer, I think . Warning to those (like me) with bad ragweed allergies. Chamomile & calendula are in the same plant family as ragweed and are strong allergens. Just FYI

Love the idea of preserving and pressing beautiful colorful flowers, thanks for the gift ideas too! I think I'll order the Microfleur, looks fun to press flowers. It's a good time of year to create pretty floral gifts for holiday gifts for friends :)

Wow they dried so beautifully and what a great idea to use for greeting cards. Thank you!! And yes calendula does make the best salve! The petals can be layed out flat and air dried for that purpose, I'm guessing the microwave might zap out all of the good stuff.

Oh My Gish-Gosh. This comment is gunna be a looong one, I can just feel it already. Why? Bcuz MY world has just been changed FOREVER! I was NOT expecting to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the MicroFleur Method SOOOOO MUCH!!!!! I could watch you do this - - ALL DAY LONG!!! Ha!!!! Or watch ME do this ALL DAYLONG TOO! Oh what the hey, I'll watch BOTH OF US do this ALL DAY LONG!!! Hahaha!!!! I tried pressing flowers the old fashioned way once. Using a book. It took so long that I forgot about it. (naturally) About 5 years later I was moving, and during the packing I came across the sad, dried, forgotten flowers. By that time they had lost most all their colors. And one was even moldy. It was very sad. Of coarse, I was not impressed w my efforts. And I HAVE heard of the microwave method, but I was always - meh... maybe... someday... Obviously I should've tried it! Bcuz WOWZER!!!!!!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ THANK YOU for opening my mind, AND my imagination!!! I just LOVE this Video!!!! WhoooooHooooooo!!!! ♡♡♡♡ Ok, back to YOU - While you were "Fleur-ing" I kept looking at that Peony thinking of all these different ways it could be smashed into the deally-bop. (you know, the Fleur machine. Machine? Well, whatever - the deally-bop.) And wondering what it would turn out like. THEN you started DECONSTRUCTING it, and I was all - WHAAAAT?!!!! Blew My MIND!!! Bcuz yeah, I hadn't yet thought of THAT way!! NOW it seems SO obvious!!! So anyway, I was right there with you, having ALL the same MAGNIFICENT reactions to the MAGNIFICENT results!!! Thank You for including me on your Fabulous Fleur Journey!!! ♡♡♡ Since my comment is already soooo very long, I'll add a P.S. (why not...) P.S. I have only just found your channel this week (and subscribed). And I've been watching all your vids, except doing it out of order. Out of order - not sure WHY, but who cares. I am enjoying each one! Yesterday I watched the one where you were talking about the way people pronounce flower names differently, and it is driving you a bit bananas. This made me giggle a bit, bcuz I used to be the same way. But over time, and ESPECIALLY after watching British gardeners, I just gave up the pronunciation grudge. Bcuz there's no point. It's just all regional. I realized there IS no right, or wrong way. Just a universal love of growing flowers! (and plants. Flowers AND plants.) The reason I bring this up now, is bcuz when I heard you say Calendula, it reminded me of the whole pronunciation grudge I once had. Calendula is the reason my pronunciation problem started. I'll tell you why - and just know - if Clematis makes you a bit itchy, then I'm betting Calendula is going to make you BONKERS!! Here's the 2 ways I've heard it pronounced: 1.) Calen-jula Calen (as in calender) jul-a (the same way you said it) 2.) Calen-duel-a Calen (as in calender) duel-a (as in the 18th century - challenging someone to a Duel) Now say it this way all together Calen-duel-a Did your brain just go on - tilt - a little bit just now?! At the time, mine did! At 1st I thought one way was Southern, and one way was Northern - to the U.S. But no. I continued to hear others all over our country say it both ways, no matter WHERE they were. so yeah... It just HAS to be regional, or whatever your parents (or whoever you learn from) used to say. Which is prolly regional. So I gave up the grudge... Now I simply accept any pronunciation, and I'm just happy when others even know what these wonderful plants are! The End I thought you might enjoy that little ditty about pronouncing. Please continue w your videos, I am very much enjoying both you, and your info! ♡♡♡ Thanks Again for the GREAT CONTENT in THIS video, and I'll keep watching! Ciao Doll ♡♡♡

dying to know which color of purple flower doesn’t photograph well, according to a trained photographer’s eye. I microwave flowers between 2 large pieces of tile and paper towels and parchment paper. You just made me want to do a bunch while I make tomato jam today. Love the ornaments on wood!

I got the purple in a mix so I'm not sure the variety but if you google Le Baron Dahlia, I would say it is similar to that!

This amazes me, my cousin was just telling me about the Microfleur - I'm actually thinking of throwing these newly dried babies onto my furniture instead of transfers just as an experiment. You say that they lose their color so I wonder if a quick top coat would save that? I do hate to think of losing the nature in them but I love the idea of preserving their colorful beauty forever and ever.

They are beautiful! I love the sweetpeas! Why don’t you try to put the calendulas ‘face down’ on the mat? I think the petals would spread out more even when the top presses down.
