Vibratos to me is like adding the cream on top. You dont necessarily need it, but when its there it takes it to another level of texture and flavor.

I always needed a vibrato ,because I feel like it is putting icing on the cake which everyone needs it , and it is a stylistic tool also. So everyone deserves to have vibrato as it adds colours to your singing and enchances it .☺️💞

Vibrato is the gravy on the mashed potatoes. It's the ranch dressing on the salad. It's the Merlot paired with the Ribeye.

I would say that vibrato keeps the sound in motion. You can picture the sound moving out and away from the singer. It flows.

It's interesting to hear the differences. I have been singing with slight vibrato at certain points and I was told off for doing so because fellow chorus mates said that the voice should be clean. However, it's so boring to sing without vibrato n the song sounded very dead n somehow lack of resonance. After watching this video, I am convinced that vibrato really makes the songs richer and warmer. Thanks for putting this video up.

Great demo, really highlights the difference. I have it naturally, never thought of it that way though, don’t think it was a learned behavior. Also, I could really see your support working when you sang the more classical pieces. Great demo on that too! 😀

It has been my problem for a while until I use the right support and my voice just relax and vibrato slowly come together and I need to keep practicing till I get it naturally and really enjoy singing with vibrato. Hope to hear more about how the vibrato come out and which part of my body need to conscious about to have that vibrato happen so naturally 🙏👍☺️

For me this is a very important topic. In early music the less vibrato, the better. But it's very hard to shape a beautiful musical line without vibrato. I noticed that when you stop your vibrato in the video, you stop phrasing too. Is it possible to have good phrasing without vibrato? My vocal coach says that I shouldn't stop my vibrato, because I have it naturally and my voice looses quality when I do it. But I also sing in vocal consorts and I should avoid vibrato there. So I feel a bit confused...
