It even fits through the garage man door - barely. It really is the perfect size. Also, the grandkids like pulling it around and we hook it up to the small quad we bought for them. It’s definitely a multi use cart!

To answer the question regarding arm or shoulder injury when using the auger, I have some experience as an older women (pushing 70)... My drill motor has the E clutch system and it will stop if you encounter hard pack, rock and roots. I have clay soil and rely on my augers to "dig" my planting holes. It has been a game changer for me. I used to have to use a backhoe. I have the largest drill motor (60 volt). Totally worth it in my opinion!

In regards to mosquitos, if you have a smaller city lot a trick I’ve learned is to use a hose end sprayer (like a miracle grow) that has a reservoir normally used for fertilizing and squeeze a bunch of dish soap in it, and spray your yard, it drastically reduces the mosquito population and in my experience doesn’t bother the plants. I also do this if I see aphids or spider mites on my plants

Hi. As to the question of whether horses can comfortably tread on gravel; it depends on the horse (or breed of horse, generally speaking). Thoroughbreds and many Quarter Horses have poor foot quality. A lot of the gaited breeds have large-ish, very tough hooves. Seems this group is nearly impervious to gravel/rocky terrain. Other horses require boots or shoes to stay comfortable.

Peonies make the vast majority of their root growth in fall. Also, the "eyes" (where new growth emerges from the roots), should not be planted more than 1-2" below soil surface, or they may take several years to bloom.

I switched to watching you on facebook to KZbin!! (About a year ago) I enjoy this much better!!!
Lemon balm tea in the evening before bed has helped me sleep better. Tetley has one, or you could grow your own, muddle the leaves in the bottom of a cup and pour hot water over. Hope that helps - sweet dreams!

I have to say that we live in the suburbs of St. Louis…very populated area. Deer come in and eat all the flowers from the neighborhood all the time! Have a video on my ring doorbell. It’s crazy…found that they do not eat geraniums so there are several plants across my porch and they leave them alone. It’s so annoying!

And they seem to leave mint and daffodils alone.

Interesting question about the bees/stinging. I have a ton of clover in my lawn and a ton of pollinator-attracting plants. I walk barefoot and wear tanks and shorts in my garden on a daily basis and even stick my hands in plants with bees on them and they never ever bother me.

My parents always made sure we had good support shoes. I did the same with my little people. I still buy good shoes. My Dad use to say divide what you pay for them by the number of days you wear them. It is worth the price

Hi Laura! 🌸 Dragonflies eat mosquitos! That’s why the pond is clear of them.

I grew up with thousands of bats they lived in our old farmhouse attic, they sure made a mess in the attic and on occasion one would accidentally get into our bedroom. But never ever were there any problems or worried about rabies .

we put the handle of the drill behind our leg when we are using an auger, that way if it flings forward it hits your leg and stops, your leg might hurt but i’d rather that than pulling my arm out its socket!

Your happy go lucky charm, dosed with wisdom, common sense or 'i just don't know' are more entertaining than any just conversation among friends where each has a tendance of knowing more than the others on the arised question. Certainly your habit of parring each other with his degree of savoir? I had to smile when Laura pronounced the T, in a word, LOL too British? Wonderful happy week, thank you both.

If you get bat houses, just make sure your attic space is sealed up! It’s not fun trying to get them out of your house. 😊

When it comes time for Christmas decorating, what about using two trees in the Hartley - one on each end, leave the succulent planter in the middle.

It's overkill, and so laura😂 I love this idea!!!!
