@@cateatfood6634might seem like a lot of change but $100 worth of change really isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things and they wouldn’t be valued as much if they were everywhere and easy to find. Look at how many coins were just released last year. I personally think it’s interesting to find any coin made in the 80s or earlier. So many coins have been made since then that it’s becoming harder and harder to find the older ones and they might not be worth anything now but in time (which goes by faster then you think) they could be valued for there age alone bc it’s about how rare they are. Oh and where you get your coins might play a big part too, if your not having any luck try getting them from somewhere else. Good luck and keep 👀 looking 😊

I always check change for errors and also because different designs that are not the standard design, like the technologies £2 (which is still one of my all time favourite designs despite being the standard £2) can be worth more. One time i got a mary rose two pound worth like a fiver.

The odds of finding two coins of this rarity in ur change in unlikely are both ur coins small date with a D mint mark and 3 grams, remember if the line in the two isn't curved it's a large date

Maybe you need to find someone you can trust to help you go through them and make a chart for the ones that are really worth money for you to look for. Some dates don't really have anything to look for especially the newer coins from 2000 and 2010 on up. Although there are a few double ear varieties in the teens and anything that might have a really weird strike through or off-centered collar.

Back in 1974 while in college my GF inherited a Roman Coin. She asked me to sell it for her. Being a stupid nimrod kid I decided to Clean it before going to Beverly Hills Coin Shop. The man at the shop laughed when he saw I had polished it. “You just cut the value in 1/2 “ he said. Dirty, it was worth $22,000 (today’s money). My GF was thrilled getting $11,000 (I never told her the truth about losing $11,000 for cleaning the ancient coin)

I'm confused. PCGS only shows 1982 bronze small dates that are worth money are not D mint mark. They have no mint mark MS68 $4,250. The 82 zinc small date no mint mark is valued at MS69 $16,000. 82 Small dates with a D are only worth a few hundred bucks.

I have it! But its NOT the copper ughh I see why it's expensive because halfway through 1982 is when they switched out of copper, I was like I got it. Then feeling it in my hand I can tell it was light. I have a couple bags of all copper and I found a 1942, 1943, 1944 the 42 and 44 are copper and the 43 is steel lol. So a REAL copper had to have snuck in with the new dye. So I see why its worth money because its not supposed to exist on the new dye, only the cheaper zinc or whatever. Very cool stuff I just started paying attention to what I have and look at my change and bills! Its worth it. I also see why people are collecting these errors now while they are cheaper because in the future MORE PEOPLE. LESS COINS!
