It took Chris way to long to change a flat rally tire at LSPR. Find out the button he didn't know about that caused this disaster. Check out our new KZbin page, featuring Chris's journey into Rally: / @chriscyr965

We ran into the exact same thing, not fully understanding how the tools you have work can really slow you down, we do a team building exercise with a stripped down Nascar car and see how we can improve the work changing the tires filling the tank and making small but effective changes to speed up the process and see what things are slowing team members down within their individual tasks.

Congrats on your pole position! You guys are the definition of rally drivers, mental toughness of doing whatever it takes to win. If I come to USA here from Europe I am definitely visiting you guys, I want to become a rally driver as well when I grow up 😂

I’m hoping to show all the behind the scenes lessons from rally. Follow along and hopefully see you on the stages

Oh that's unfortunate! It's a great learning event to share! Know your tools Practice those tire changes You also might want to look for a "flank drive" style impact socket. These have a modified hex shape that engages the nut on the faces, rather than at the corners, I find them to be less "sticky". It seemed like you had a couple of lug nuts get jammed up in the socket.

Thank you for the info. we'll have to check that out.

Yeah I need more practice for sure. Thanks for watching

When lug nuts are stuck in your socket, just screw it back on a bit and wiggle you gun left to right and up and down. Much faster. Keep up the good work!

Hear me out. Rally car on air suspension and you carry only air tools. Plug your air tools into your tanks and turn on the compressor and bam. You’re going. Lower it down when you’re on tarmac, lift it up on a bumpy road, dial it in for a jump. I’m a genius

I had no idea some impact guns now have variable torque settings. Mine is an old craftsman but it’s always on full ugga duggas.
@ChrisCyr96523 күн бұрын
I’m like…who wants partial uggas?
@ALMX5DP22 күн бұрын
@@ChrisCyr965 right? If I want less, i just hold down the trigger for less time. I'm sure the variable ugga dugga approach is beneficial in some industries but hopefully they'll continue to make basic single power ones that are just basic to use.

What hubs do you guys run to make the fiesta 5 lug?!
@ALMX5DP21 күн бұрын
Chris may have the actual correct answer, but they could be Focus hubs or potentially custom billet units perhaps.
@zackkragel21 күн бұрын
@ that’s what I was thinking but I’d love to get 5 lug lol. Make wheel selection 10x easier

Was this tool added because it was 'better' but you never got any practice with it? That's the real failure. Newer isn't always better
@ChrisCyr96523 күн бұрын
No it was a tool I used multiple times including in Ohio and Pennsylvania when I crashed off the road and lifted my car back on the road with my jack and impact. Just always on setting 3 until it wasn’t 💀
@deathcore42025 күн бұрын
Why not level 4 tho?
@automotiveadhdpodcast25 күн бұрын
The 4th setting you’re seeing on that particular Milwaukee is a type of automatic removal function. It basically hits it with a bunch of speed before automatically slowing down when it senses that the nut has broken loose. The result is you can back the nut off in a controlled way without flinging it across the ground. In this case it wouldn’t have helped him.
@ChrisCyr96523 күн бұрын
I didn’t know what that 4th button was for… thanks @automotiveadhdpodcast…what else can you teach me?
