Ever since I was a kid I heard that they came from Mongolia, but Altai is right there next to it so it was close. I googled pictures of Altai families and many do resemble peruvian and bolivian families, they do not wear deer skin for cold weather because when they arrived to the andes they found animals like llamas and alpacas and used their wool to make yarn for clothing.

for the record the siberians that amerindians descend from are not the same ones we see now. the ones we see now are the neo Siberians that genetically displaced all the original ones by 11,000 years ago. that is why the Siberians now look like chinese people and amerindians dont.

When the Aboriginal people spread from east Asia some went north to become Siberians and others south to become the Melanesians. So of course the descendants thousands of years later carry the markers they share in common in the far distant past.

So the theory has changed But it might be the americans went north into siberia not the other way around. have also found d n a links between egyptians and natives from the americas. Not true. The Siberians came over in different waves starting over 25000 years ago. Each wave has different genetics but all are Siberian Asians.

The Siberian Native Americans are Asian. They migrated from Siberia after the ice age. When the ice melted it provided a path for them to leave the Denisovan Caves and seek food and shelter. They were welcomed and civilized be the aboriginal community of the Americas
