Every video is so full of knowledge geez.. I thought I was crazy for putting backhand but Pete makes em look easy!

Thank you very much for saying that. I try to help think what struggles I have gone through and speak to those areas. As for the forehand putt… it works in my head for some reason… the bonus is that you have a lot more room to step out around obstacles. :D I appreciate you watching!

Yes sir. I like this common sense strategy lesson in real time. Very good job bringing it to a level that a rookie like me can understand. Keep up the great work. 👍🏼

Thank you so much for the kind words I’m trying to work on it and figure this KZbin stuff out so I appreciate it. I was gonna try to have a new one out tomorrow but I’ve gotten knocked down with a little bit of Covid or the flu so it may be Thursday before I get a new one out. But I appreciate you watching

great video... still struggling to have "consistent distance" so nice to have this as encouragement.
@ogdiscgolfer7 ай бұрын
Distance is so very helpful to reach the basket and make up ground when scrambling, but most of us aren't going on tour and we will score better with control than power... especially as we get older and body parts start falling off like my elbow! You learn to lean less and less on power and more on touch. Don't get me wrong, I want to throw 700ft, but I get so much more return on my investment when I work on control and my short game. Just like in ball golf... drive for show and putt for dough. Keep it up! Thanks for commenting!

@@ogdiscgolfer I threw my first forehand while actually playing last week into a slight head wind and it carried about 360' ... it might has well been 600' because it really didn't matter what happened the rest of the round, I think I need to try and practice your style of putting.
@ogdiscgolfer7 ай бұрын
Like I try to tell everyone... it is not supposed to be the main putting style for most normal folks, but it is such a great tool to have in your bag, and for some goofy folks like myself something clicks and it feels more natural. :D I hope you find success with it... or at least get a few groans from your cardmates when you hit a sweet 45 footer through the trees!

@@ogdiscgolfer hey, I made a disc retriever out of a golf ball retriever. I wish I could send you a picture. It looks cool and is functional! Around the putting green, doing field work. You inspired it.

Thanks Pete, I usually get myself into trouble when I get too aggressive like trying to cut a corner too tight hoping it gets me close enough to birdie. I need to work on being more realistic, and taking the easy pars.
@ogdiscgolfer Жыл бұрын
Sometimes the biggest battle we can have with ourselves is knowing that we can make the shot but not applying the odds. Often I will try to cut the corner of a shot that I can make 3 or 4 times out of 10... because I will overestimate my consistency. Yes I got buried on Wednesday and Thursday trying it, but I tend to forget those and focus on when I had that great tree kick on Tuesday and got close for a long putt? This game would be easy if we just didn't have to think! Thanks for watching.

Good stuff. Too many times I'm not taking the time for better course management. Nice reminder that you can still score well even if you have to pitch out.
