giiirl, I feel you! My main essence is ingenue, soft classic and a dark winter. Trying to find those "icy colours" (pure white with a drop of colour) is like looking for a unicorn lol

Oh what a beautiful combo! It’s not as hard as you think! It’s possible, trust me ☺️. I’d ignore the colour part of the ingenue essence and focus on the other things instead. I’ll do a video on mixing body type, colouring and essences VERY soon I promise 😉

​@@myleneamelie Would love to also know what you would recommend for someone who feels uncomfortable in highly ingenue outfits. At the moment, when putting together outfits, I've been leaning more into my other essences (classic, romantic, ethereal) or if I go high ingenue, I go for a darker colour palette. I've seen mature ingenue women lean into classic or romantic for their outfits, but with an ingenue colour palette and that is so lovely ❤

I have a 65/35 classic/ingenue essence and had people apologise to me for swearing eventhough I didn't even care. They just said I don't seem like the type (I really am not) so they felt bad for being foul mouthed 😂 Loved this one! Can't wait for the classic essence ❤

lol I haven’t had this happen to me and I DO care for cussing, I definitely have Ingenue since people called me cute idk how many times, plus people in positions of authority tend to be softer on me than most. BUT now that you mention that “innocent” vibe You could be paired with either Classic or Angelic as well! ^^

I love the way you explain things, especially with body types. My essences are IRN. I don’t know percentages, I prefer to use them interchangeably and lean more into one over the other depending on the day and the vibes. But I’m fairly certain Ingenue is my dominant and I’ve been heavily exploring that lately…..I have a major new obsession with baby pink

Oh thank you! Haha I'm the same way, I switch it up depending on my mood, the occasion and sometimes the season (For example my classic essence comes out way more in the Fall than any other season haha).

Essences are really informed by coloring, so you may have gamine, romantic, and/or dramatic essence as well. so look into incorporating colors and patterns from those essences.

Definitely possible to still have this essence with Dark winter palette :) colour is just one of the ways to play up the essence, but not the only one! I'll be doing a whole video on how to balance your colours, body type and essences soon!

Love your video series. This one really resonated with me. You basically described how I dress HAHA. I do look younger than I am. I never understood why I am drawn to light academia, vintage, and cottagecore. I am a flamboyant gamine that has a lot of softness in my face. I am don't really have the cheeky bold personality that some FG incorporate in their dress. I am more "cute" like and a bit imaginative. I am a bit reserved at first meeting, but when people get to know me I am a bit of a kid even at 36. That being said, instead of bold I love watercolor or medium contrast florals, lace, petticoats, gingham, and softer patterns with vintage vibe or silhouettes. I can't wait to see the rest. 💕 I do wonder if you can explain how someone can incorporate this even if their body is angular leaning?

Pick the lighter shades ot your color palette, add playful detail in a bit stiffer fabric (a bow is still a bow in stiff cotton or linen, same for more "edgy" pleat or ruffle). You can add soft element into your true gamine lines - contrast of line generaly look amazing. More airy hair, accessories... If you have any essentce(either by line or vibe), you don't need to embrace it head -to-toe, it will work even if it's a "spice" of your neutral look

Hi! I’m talking about Gamine Essence (they can do oversized pieces ☺️) they have more yang elements in the gamine essence, it’s just juxtaposed with smaller elements to create interesting contrast on their outfits. And anyone regardless of their stature can have any essence (just more common for smaller frames to be a gamine or an ingenue, but not a set rule at all).

Absolutely! I find that a lot of people don't resonate with the style aesthetics of their body types, which is why essences are SO fun because it means you get to find your unique personality and infuse it into your style :)
