I have been busy in March. I finished all of my Secret Lives of Color Blocks. I just could not stop. Now to figure out a layout. I also finished my Tula String Bean Quilt and I will quilt it tomorrow on my friends long arm. I started a layer cake quilt and am waiting on inner & outer boarder fabric to arrive. I also finished a Pineapple Quilt I started in January. Your Green bin looks great! I have a wall of cabinets for quilt fabric storage. It is a mess. I have an avalanche waiting to happen if I open a few of those doors. You have encouraged me to get started on sorting & re-folding my fabric stash. I will add that to my April calendar. Thank you for sharing Pat!!

I enjoyed today's video! Very often I end up doing a straightening up if I'm "shopping" for fabric for a project I am planning. I keep all my fabrics in the plastic project boxes of differing sizes. Two years ago, I moved from a TINY (380 sq ft) cottage, and it was overrun with mice! I NEEDED the plastic totes! AND there was really no system, just get the frabric under protection! I also live about 45 minutes from the IRIS factory (maker of the plastic project boxes and totes) which had a warehouse sale once a year. Friends and I would plan around this, and we each had to take our own vehicles so we'd have enough room! That was so much fun. I have a male friend who told me I have the World's Largest Collection of Plastic Boxes! Thanks, Pat, for dredging up these fun memories!

I must have been channeling you, Pat! I spent the last two days refolding and sorting my fabrics. I use my 8 1/2 X 24 inch ruler for the job, and I actually enjoy the process. It feels good to look at those pretty stacks of fabric! I've not been quilting as long as you, so I sort by adult/child, panel/kits, repro/classic/modern, and holidays/everyday. I always have some fabric I think someone will appreciate more than me, and even just seeing it all again is inspirational! Have fun!

@@rhondagarden8878 I can tan a bit, but I’d be so envious of that beautiful tan you can get. Laying out is not so good for us anyway. And at 69, I’m to old for sunbathing, too. Have been for a number of years. 😀

Hello Pat wanted to say wow your fa tics are beautiful. Would it help to have a wooden board to fold your fabric round. I don’t have as much as you so mine is easier. But I find this helpful. I fold and have rounded ends at top and then it is all same size and neat.

Hi Pat! Those photos with the skins matching the Pantone colors was amazing!!! Have you seen the alphabet animals they make from handprints & footprints? Years ago at one of our retreats, my bestie & I cut long rectangles of tan'ish fabric, took black, yellow, orange & pink acrylic paints, aluminum pans & washcloths. We had whoever was willing to do their footprint, and/or handprint "stamp" onto the fabric. We then were going to draw them into animal shapes. She chose to have all do footprints into the black because she was going to make all of her into penguins because she love penguins!! For mine they could do whatever & I put the lighter colors in the pans & let them swish their hand or foot around to kinds make it look tie-dyed or batik. It was fun 😊 I said before & will say it again, I'm obsessed with your Woodsy quilt 💗💗

After going through the green bin, as an example, do you then decide that you need to shop for hunter green or acid green to round out your green bin? Or does your stash just grow organically or just by the monthly color selection that is curated by the shops that you partner with? I don't sort my fabric...
