Hi Pat! I had to pick up my 12 yr old granddaughter from school yesterday morning as she was not feeling well. She's the one who started her first quilt at age 7 😊 I hadn't watched your video yet, so I showed her your String Bean blocks on the wall & the drop block version of the Lattice. She liked the drop version better, too! I'll find a background fabric to use with the layer cake I have set aside for her to use & I think this will be her next quilt! Your goodies looked so good. I laughed at the Choc-Aids 🤣 If we still had retreats, yes, that would be a great gift!

Oh my goodness Pat…My cats love my practice quilting pieces. I put them on places I don’t want cat hair on like my dining room chairs then once it gets all cat hairy I toss it….
@beverleybrowning34802 жыл бұрын
I do that too, but use old pillow cases (or dollar store ones) with scrap batting to practice FMQ. Then I donate them to our local shelter for their pet cages. To remove pet hair from bedding and furniture I use a rubber glove or the Teflon scrubbies pads from the dollar store (the ones with lots of bumps, 2 in a pack. Works great!

I really love how your Lattice Quilt turned out. I love the effect of the half-drop of every other row. Gives it a great new look and I think I like it better than the pattern. What a great idea! Another one to try now! Thank you for sharing this great hack. And “What is in those bags”…. It seems that pile of stuff is like my entire room. I’m sure it’s not that bad, (I say to myself), but it is a mess. Stuff just needs to find a home somewhere NOT on my tables. But it is all stuff that I have ordered, it arrived and I have just piled it up. I have excuses for not working on said projects, but they are just that…..excuses. I should know better. I’m over-whelmed when I even walk by the room, let alone when I actually have to walk into the room. I can’t find anything! It’s bad. Not sure I can even get it done in a day! Maybe today is the day to try to make a dent in the mess. The problem is…..if I put it away, I forget all about it and then the fabric never gets used. I have all of the fabric to make the Serendipity Quilt, Fat Quarter Shop’s charity quilt from last year. I don’t want to put it away somewhere but it takes up a lot of my workspace! My supplies arrived late because I didn’t order or pre-order and then had to search to find it. By the time enough came in I was on to other stuff. I have several “piles” that are similar. And several projects in various stages of incomplete (UFO’s?). Maybe I need an intervention? 😂 Thanks for your support and setting the standards for a clean and tidy room and showing us that you actually follow you own advice! Awesome!

Kathy, I can understand about your stuff 🤣😜. I enjoy how Pat takes us along on her adventures and has showed us awesome ideas!!! If I may suggest also another person on KZbin Norrine Burke from the Crafty Organizer! ❤️😀
@kathyclayton43182 жыл бұрын
@@rachelburgener819 LOL. I will check out Norrine. You know, I know how to do this….I just can’t seem to get going. And the longer it goes on the more stuff gets piled in there and lost and the more frustrating it become. I know better. Yes I do. I want to go in with shovel and just move it all out. LOL! No I really don’t want to do that. I just think I do right now. I do enjoy Pat’s videos as well. Never miss them. I just need to follow her advice! Thanks for your advice. I will give it a whirl and see what I can learn.

Do the charities that your friend works with take "Christmas or Halloween" quilts as specific examples? Or does she use the poinsettia as a floral - so that it doesn't necessarily look like a Christmas quilt. (Is she able to conceal Santa?)

She takes ALL holiday quilts for reselling in a consignment shop that supports nurses and the local hospital.

I would like to know the name of the cross stitch pattern that is above your door. It is the one with the months all in a row. Also does the fat quarter shop have this pattern, and if so could you leave me a link to it. Love the big + sign quilt, I think I'm gonna do this with a navy background.
