can you try warmer sound strings? seems both woods have a bright attack mode.

Both sounds so pretty in your playing ❤ for me I prefer Mahogany but the most fav thing in this video is your playing and those very relaxing melody. Please could you tell me which type of music is that? What scales are they? Really lovely❤

both sounds too bright for me

The acacia sounded brighter to my ears, but I thought mahogany had the more complex and pleasing tone overall.

Mahogany has a nicer and cleaner tone

Very interesting, I'm not sure which one I prefer, but I can clearly hear the difference. I'd love to see the same comparison with tenor ukes :)

True! That’d be a good one! Unfortunately I don’t own a solid acacia tenor or a solid mahogany tenor. I wonder if someone else on KZbin has done that?

I'm a mahogany man myself though both sound lovely....just wondered if you had any effects on the mic as sounds like Reverb?....thanks for this Brian..:)

I thought I was a full on Acacia and Spruce guy before this little experiment. lol. After listening back though, I kinda feel more for the Mahogany. And yes, a tinge of reverb on both. Same level though on both. No different settings between the two.

@@StringsOfBrian ...thought you'd keep the settings the same for fairness sake...your mic picks things up so clearly. On a different note I hope you do progress onto giving tutorials on the tunes you post...I can't get some of them out of my head...just wish I was as talented a player as you are...all the best to you and looking forward to seeing your channel grow and future posts...:)

It’s very hard to decide. I have an acacia Kala baritone and a much less expensive mahogany baritone. Oscar Schmidt. I like both very much. The Kala is heavy duty compared to the OS but both have their place. I like the deeper more mellow tones of these woods. I have a Taylor Gs mini guitar that’s all mahogany. If I could get its tone on a tenor uke (with higher pitch or same as baritone) I’d never pick up another uke. 🙂 I like how you did the comparison here. Great job and nice playing. I’m still under a year of my skills so can appreciate your skills and learn from a lot. Thank you for sharing.

Both have distinct sound. It's great to have them both.
