Just fixed the same issue with the wiper on my truck tonight, used a small self taper and washer drilled in from the socket side going into the ball. worked like a charm and saved money.

I use my tow hooks often enough. The fat C like to beome an anchor after a light rain on black clayish dirt. Always using the my 05 silverado gasser to yank it out or a 45hp tractor... Trust me, my hooks get a workout..

The tow hooks are not for the owners. They are there for the tow company's to use to get you out of snow or mud when you get stuck. But the new ones look great buddy.

I'm glad you didn't just remove them all together, I had to get my truck towed once shortly after buying it. The previous owner decided it didn't need the hooks. That made it a bit if a pain for the tow truck driver. I need to get a set of these!

TreachourusJdogg tow truck drivers won't use the factory tow hooks every time I've been towed. Which is quite a few times. They have hooked onto the rear axle normally. They did that because with the front tow hooks they cant pull the truck far enough forward to secure it properly. But that's also a 4 door long bed that takes up most of the bed with wheelbase alone plus hangover.

My truck is also a CCLB, but my tow truck driver said he wished the hooks had been there. Either way they seem like they are one of those things that you don't need then until you need them and when you need then you really need them. Lol.

It depends on what the reason for being towed. Some times us tow truck drivers us tow hooks to move trucks around to avoid damage under bumper. I have used tow hooks to winch people out of the ditch in winter, -tow truck driver my self

Dorman products makes just the wiper linkage that you need its part number 49470. They actually make them for a lot of different vehicles. I have used in the past and it’s a quality part available through any good pass store usually next day.

After vacuuming the tank get some old speaker magnets that will fit through the sending units hole and drop on the bottom and once filled with fuel they will pick up any mental particles that may come from the inside of the tank
