One of my favorite things to do in Spider man 2 was to take some random thug or thugs up somewhere really high (like the top of the MetLife building for instance, which I still think of as the Deodorant building) and just toy with them until they either run off the edge themselves (from which I may or may not catch them) or throw them off or piledrive them into the pavement.

The PS2 version was excellent, it was just a huge downgrade. The Wii version played the same as the others, it was just REALLY hard to pull off a Web-Strike, which is mandatory to beat the game.

One thing i love about the game is the variety of attacks that felt like spiderman. One attack i love is the web rodeo, just spin a guy around hit people and whats even more awesome is when you upgrade it and can have up to 3 people spinning around. Then theres the air combos, piledrives, and my personal favorite, webbing up a guy and hang them off a stoplight or hanging pole. Web of Shadows had an awesome combat system but i love the flashy creativity in SM2

This game was to me what Kingdom Hearts 1 was to you, Superbutterbuns! I got it when I was super young, I got stuck on that stupid level where it's like the obstacle course and if you got spotted he ZAPPED YOU THAT TERRIFIED ME SO MUCH OMG. The person who played the demo purposely went slow FYI. Spiderman 3 Webslinging is arguably the worst since it is slow, and Spidey feels extremely heavy. If you're playing the PS2/Wii/PSP versions, it's basically a downgrade since the speed from 2 is gone.

Spider-man threes web swinging was shit and it lowered the bar for years to come. I remember how jarring it was to play Spider-Man 3 right after playing Spider-Man 2. It only let you use one arm to swing around which prevented you from doing the web slingshot....and that's pretty much my main complaint. I don't remember anything else about it. The web swinging is just so much better when you can use both arms to swing around.

And the fact that it doesn't have replayability. It makes unlocking a costume completely pointless since all you can do with the costume is swing around New York. Believe me, I tried. They limit how many times you can level up ( basically leveling up has no purpose besides making your swinging faster and health bar longer) so it would be literally impossible to achieve anything else unless you beat the game. and I tried my hardest not to complete the game in less than two days but that's EXACTLY what happened. I went as far as unlocking the black suit Spider-Man ( the final costume) but with no reportable options or any missions left. Meaning it absolutely pointless to even go that far in the game ( unless you want to show off how pointless your life is) *I don't expect the game to get everything/ go through the game with ease. But when you play hard to get something you can't even use an action, what's the point of it?!?! just imagine playing your favorite RPG game, getting an item extremely rare & Have NO WAY to use it on anyone* The game has some good features though. It's story was extremely short but extremely incredible to me. Like the creation of Carnage ( if you play the game before, you know exactly what I'm talking about😁😁😁 BEST!!!!) & the bosses in the game. Too bad you can only fight them ONCE. The soundtrack is incredible. I always find myself tapping to the beat every time I play. Adding Venom as a playable character with absolutely insulting though. Imagine playing the Incredible Hulk BUT with comic book-like artwork. the only purpose he has any game is to cause chaos and earn points destroying and killing police. No fighting Wolverine again. Just run around, get shot, Die, Repeat.

I think some races can be a bit unforgiving with the timing *cough* Insane races *cough*, but figuring out which webbing to use for quicker travel and learning about shortcuts was always the point of races I find (also helps that they're still fun too!). Combat tour though..... that's just tedious busy work. Not bad, but just..... really really samey. "the bosses in the game. Too bad you can only fight them ONCE." Too be fair though, most games also have this problem, it isn't anything new, not to mention it at least has a consistent pacing as to who shows up and why (aside Beetle and Goblin, anyway. Both just show up and disappear as quickly as they appeared). Also I count fighting Silver Sable twice because you fight her once as Venom, and another time as Peter, so.... yea there's that. "Adding Venom as a playable character with absolutely insulting though. Imagine playing the Incredible Hulk BUT with comic book-like artwork. the only purpose he has any game is to cause chaos and earn points destroying and killing police." I'll admit downgrading Venom to a minigame akin to one of the Hulk titles was pretty lame. You can use Unlocker to unlock everything.You will have black suit in the beginning of the game(when you race Johny Storm first time).Then you can play with the black suit whole game! You don't need to do that hard work.

Ultimate spiderman was my version of this game because i never played the second spiderman game, it encouraged you to either be good or bad and you could even be Venom in it.

SO GOOD! The first time I played it I didn't know (or cared about) the main mission. Just popping the green question marks? When the main story finally came into play, the upgrades where peanuts to my MASSIVE STACK of hero points. Never cleared the pizza though.

I played this as a youngin on the PSP back in preschool. Imgot stuck so I just started trying to climb empire state AKA big tower in new york that has the stick on the top which what i called it back in preschool. I got bored of climbing then jumping then swinging back to climb again so i quit.

I cried when Spider-Man 2 crashed. And then I tried getting another copy of the game that was from a GameStop that was an hour away from me and the game broke before I got to the tutorial. I’ve never played Spider-Man 2 again

I agree so much!! I spent dozens of hours on this game because it was so much fun to fly around the city! And the speedup and falling effects were really good, it gave me chills every time! And those cursed pizza missions, I stopped doing them because either the pizza was too messy or I didn't have enough time with a proper pizza, and that speeding up music from hell!! XD Thanks for doing this video! :D

I sank a lot of hours into this game when I was younger. I also liked the ultimate alliance games, but my all time favorite Spider-Man game was Web of Shadows. I fell in love with the game. I felt like it had a good story, cool characters, and and over all good combat system. The only downside with the game that I had would be the wonky dialog every now and then. I liked the entire Ratchet and Clank series so I trust they’ll do good with Spider-Man. It’s not like their related I know, but they do well story wise so I’m looking forward to what they have in store. Thanks for bringing this game up!

The pizza delivery song on this game was the best. and I loved the rag doll effects of the enemies. Oh and catwoman ;)
