Your rant about the story is exactly what it was like to come into this series, THIS WAS MY FIRST GAME.

Just finished this one last night and yeah, it's pretty great... For the most part. It was very nicely paced and things did move forward in a reasonable manner at almost every turn and then the ending came into view. Essentially and without spoiling anything, there's a moment where they kind of throw in a sort of twist that quickly gets untwisted just for another twist to suddenly rear its head and get untwisted just as quickly. It was just so weirdly rushed and convoluted and to make matters worse, the game then just stalled for like the next 10 hours, if not more! Seriously, the final month or two was such a drawn-out, tedious slog (for me) that by the time the final, final boss FINALLY rolled around, I just didn't care anymore, I just wanted it to end! Unfortunately, that final boss was also incredibly longwinded and far too frustrating so while I did ultimately like this game overall, that ending damn near ruined it for me personally. Would still love to hear more of your thoughts/experiences though so here's hoping for some sort of "deep dive"/spoiler discussion thing or some such at some point... If you want. Great video either way, hope you're feeling better!
