@johnharris34552 жыл бұрын
Man, Mitch Richmond was a baller. He left it on the court every night at both ends and the other teams knew it, thus the respect. It wasn't his fault he played for bad teams . Sure, he might have stayed in Sacramento for the $ but hey, he gotta get paid and that's the way it is. When he got traded to the Wizards for Webber. What if Sacramento could've come up with a way for them to play together and putting that team they had around the both of them showing the man "we trying to work with you". Webber was the main piece in DC . When he left that left Mitch with nothing. It was like the east coast version of Sacramento but worse . It's up to management to make that happen. But Mitch just kept Ballin and doing it well. And he never complained about it or threw his organization under the bus. For the reasons you mentioned, would Chris Bosh been a hof'mer if he stayed putting up #'s in Toronto if he hadn't went to Miami, And he like Bron started that whole chasing the ring thing . Mitch didn't lobby to go to the Lakers at the end of his career just like he didn't lobby to go to all those other places and just kept Ballin. And like his whole career he went where he was told, they wanted him . And Kobe/ Lakers just like Jordan knew the kind of baller Mitch was . Still the Lakers roster & rotations was already pretty much set. He was insurance that they didn't have to cash in. Could he have put up better #'s with more minute? Hell yeah, no doubt cause even at that stage of his career Mitch could still score the ball that's what Mitch does. He was a shooting guard version of Bernard King he was gonna find a way to score and did it well. And now he's playing for a team with players around him not since his early Run TMC day's that had happened. The Lakers couldn't give him no more minutes than that but knew he was there. Yeah, he was on the end of the bench but hell, someone's got to be even at the NBA level. And just like his whole career on bad teams he didn't complain. Now he's finally on a good team unfortunately at the end of his career but fortunately playing for the Lakers. And we gonna stunt him for that ? NBA fate & business put Mitch on those bad teams he shined so bright on and it was that same fate & business that put him on the Lakers in the end. Naw dawg, hard work, consistency, the will to keep grinding under those conditions but most importantly staying healthy. Mitch was pretty much a machine had to be to do what he did on bad teams game in game out knowing you were all ya'll had and the other teams knowing it as well . Knowing that the game plan every game was to stop you and even though they lost a lot of games they didn't stop him and rarely got blown out, they were competitive. He just kept Ballin at a very high leval night in night out.. He earned and much deserve all that finally came his way. And for those reasons I feel Mitch Richmond deserves his ring and to be in the HOF. Not when you got in but getting in and at the day isn't that why you start the journey Much love & respect to Mitch and his family. Through it all you kept ballin and got in . Peace.

Best channel on KZbin. Killing weird ole Flamlo Raps and his terribly goofy “cue the Wayne” “oooohhhh cause I’m no quittttaaaa, cause ima go, ima go, ima go getterrrr” even when Wayne was at his peak (GOAT status) that was after he started falling off making that goofy shit. Lollipop era. Flemlo okay but just the hand motion dance *cue the wayne* like he hard and cool when he lame and goofy af. Stunted Growth is on another level tho. The idea in general. The consistency. Quality content. Great narrator voice and good guy. Doesn’t hate too much but doesn’t suck up too much. The players and time period you usually go with is my golden era of NBA when I was young. Basically you the goat bro

He is a hall of Fame since 2014.

Mitch was the 2nd best 2 guard during that era. He took a bad Sacramento team to the playoffs. He was better than all the other guards regardless of awards. When Webber got there it was the short season and he had a better roster and even a better one the following year. If Mitch played with those guys he would’ve been in the playoffs as well. I’m gonna take it that you didn’t see him play.

@Kings Will Soon Rise well the video is asking if he should be a hof’er. Hands down yes.

@Kings Will Soon Rise I didn’t have a problem with the trade. But it’s not like he had the team Webber had to compare.

He deserves to he in. He had a long run amongst the elite outside of until he got hurt. The other thing that got him was Sacramento not being relevant until he got traded to Washington.

With Webber is it kind of an unspoken deal that his High School and college years aren’t counted? Because add that to his NBA career along with his staying in the game as a commentator he’s GOT to be going in soon.

How about Jamal Mashburn, Calbert Chaney, Juwan Howard, Laettner, Joe Smith, Baron Davis, Nick Anderson... Personally, I feel Mitch is very overlooked and kinda forgotten these days. He was a beast and his personal accolades are just as impressive as Reggie Miller and there was no questioning his eligibility for the hall. Yet, as mentioned there are others with similar careers that aren't even considered or ignored like Webber and Hardaway etc. Once that precedent is set I'd like to see consistency in the process.

100% yes he deserves to be in the HOF. He was considered arguably the second best shooting guard in the NBA after MJ in his prime. Guys like Reggie Miller got more hype, but he played on good teams with good coaches like Larry Brown and Larry Bird. Richmond played on some trash Kings teams after he got traded by the Warriors (which started them on their two decade run of mostly mediocrity).

No sir this one is wrong,he definitely belongs in The HOF,he balled out made all star games,all nba teams meaning his was a top 15 player a few years,and him going to LA wasn’t ring chasing he was 36 and phil told him he wasn’t gonna play much,he basically accomplished everything most players didn’t

The Hall of Fame, just like the All Star game, is an individual achievement, so it shouldn't be about teams. They have championship trophies for team achievements. Anyone who averages at least 20+ points per game in a 7-10+ year career in the NBA should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

So we praise Vince Carter for staying in the league waaaaaaaaay past his prime becoming a glorified journeynan.. In the league 20 plus years and made only 8 all-star teams no rings no scoring titles no MVPs just a Dunk title... And he's a Hall of famer and noone bats an eye..... But Mitch Richmond isn't?? For winning at 36 and it wasn't his fault Sacramento was so shitty smh....

JC I have have question. If you believe Mitch should not be in the HOF then why should Scottie Pippen? A career average of 17 pts no real individual accolades etc? Same thing for Bosh. He averaged 24 pts on a bad team (Raptors). Went to Miami and did much of nothing. No knock on your opinion just curious of your thoughts

The only shooting guards that you can say that were better than him in the 90s were Jordan and Drexler. Definitely should be a Hall of Famer but I’ll admit that I’m surprised that he got in. I thought him playing on bad Sacramento teams would have been held against him.

Double checked...his numbers are better than Reggie’s. They both deserve to be there.
