Just got to this gem of a lesson yesterday. Great ideas for creatively working through the BB Box that doesn’t talk only about the pentatonic scales. I get much more out of thinking about triads as you have described. Now on to the SRV ideas. Thank you and have a beautiful weekend.

Glad it was helpful! I teach this way. Anyone can teach shapes, licks & chords! Those are information! I teach a little more details. Thank you!

I love your videos and your vision! They are amazing! I’ve been playing for 2 years. Learned your channel last year. Trying to practice all the triads every day. It’s taking time but I’m starting to “see” the light. It will probably be the best thing for my guitar playing in life! I will not stop to practice! Slowly, triads, practice and patience!

Always feel your joy and passion about teaching. God is great. His grace is not only a free gift for salvation but also an infinite resource of motivation (just like you enjoy teaching the guitar). Praise to our Lord. Grace and peace to you, Tomo.

W o O w! Great fingers and deliciously creamy notes from a master in music! Thanks Tomo San! BTW, I found a university online that would let me take their Music Theory course for free. I enrolled with the Edinburgh University, in Scotland. It's a detailed, 6 week course. I finished my first week today. I practice guitar and piano every day. You inspire me to keep upgrading my knowledge of music. AAAAARGGGGH! I need my REVERB! (laughing).

Thank you Tomo, Great video. BB's licks and yours sound so good! So cool that BB's lick has the same notes as 1 and 4 chords. No need only to go outside the "box" except for 2 bars, Briliant. Would you use the 5th position to fill in after the lick for chord 1 and the first position to fill in for chord 4?
@TomoFujitaMusicАй бұрын
You're very welcome! Chord tone & common tone! Triads! I chord you can play around E form, C form too! I don't think about positions More about the sounds than the shapes!
@guydavidesko388Ай бұрын
Yes, I see (hear) what you mean. Shapes can be limiting. I'll try to learn and get familiar with thinking chord notes. Best start with triads ❤

Hi Tomo, I like how your guitars intonate, do you have some tips for intonation beyond standard intonating tips? If we consider that nut and frets are in proper shape.
@TomoFujitaMusic2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! The guitar is great! Setup well! Triad exercises can teach those intonation!

Good morning Mr. Fujita - I just saw a video made by a student (Rob Tai) of one of your former students, Dylan Meistrich. Dylan apparently had to sell his favorite guitar, and Rob surprised him by building a replica kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5zTg2CqpZuWhqcsi=iBmmfrzGpVSMFGI5 It was a beautiful video and brought tears to my eyes!

Without that large band and horns backing you up BB Kings guitar is not interesting or credible. Of course he would be a master at making full user of that band dynamic. Context is everything in this situation.
