As a child...I don't remember being anyone's child in all the homes I have been to including the few times I HV been at both my real mom and father homes...I proudly say I was a rejected stone that is now a corner stone...I didn't fight with anyone in all those homes because I knew my position in their homes....😢😢 I pray I be the source of hope to everyone in my home

Fought with my twin brother to a point of death 🤣my mum intervened until she got fed up and just waited it out. We have a good relationship now. My advice is teach your children grace, love , forgiveness and peace when they fight, eventually they'll grow up and remember your teachings. Thank you Ladies for today's episode!

Banange you guys thanks alot and especially when you talked about words of encouragement. Me growing up my family was chaotic and my dad would give me a hear full and those heart wrecking words. So for this saying mbu “sticks and stones can break but words can never break me”. That’s a lie, words can stick with you forever, they can either make you or break you. Therefore let’s watch the way we use our tongue on our children.

Thanx for the show ladies. Siblings rivalry is too bad if it proceeds into adulthood. One of my uncles lost a daughter and the siblings didn't show up for burial because of unresolved issues. Imagine! And now their children are also rivaling each other.

my family is the word tight-knit. My sister and I are almost twins anyway so we rarely fight, I think the last time we had a major disagreement it was last year! Our mum saw to it that we are close and fight for each other as a family and that is exactly it! Ever since we were little kids, till now, our big brother fights tooth and nail for us and protects us, it is one of those ''perfect'' siblings life! haha! I hope to instill that in my kids someday!

Thank you for talking about this. My relationship with my sister is like Rosette and her sister, but unfortunately for us, I still feel we are far from a happy ending. I have found that there is sibling rivalry between me and my younger sister up to this day. I am very sure it came from a place where my mum (my sister's mother) is always comparing us and putting her down while celebrating and praising me, her non-biological child. I wasn't paying much attention to it until we started to stay together. I started to realise that my sister would be bickering with mum all the time bit she would be happy whenever I fought with mum about something. I celebrate her. I support her, and I always fought for her as kids. It's so sad because I love her, but I had to give her some distance until she learns to deal with what is in her heart.

The intentionality it takes not to compare kids is so hard to master. As a classified deputy parent, I often catch myself comparing my younger siblings and rubbing my hardwork and success in their faces. Like they all should strive to be me! Thankfully I'm aware about this shortcoming and I'm working on it. I often apologise after running my mouth. Thanks for the show ladies, we learn so much from you all.

❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much ladies for the show. Sibling rivalry is so bad to a point of being toxic if not attended to by parents/guardians at a young age when raising children up. 😢 It is sad when competition due sibling rivalry is still happening when the siblings are all grown and even out of their parents' homes. Even when they take different career paths, get married to different men; they still compare the incomparables like she gave our parents the first grandchild, she did a course better than mine. I pray that God restores peace in siblings who still rival and seem to have silent competition going on between them. As parents, it's important to speak positivity into our children and help them to constantly appreciate that they're who they are as individuals and different from each other. That releases tension and reduces competition between them as they grow. Keep up the encouraging and educative shows! Much love, Racheal

Speaking to children is important. I can count the times and remember the moments my dad did talk to me. those moments are the only reason that I always worked hard. Just the 4 times, how much more would I have achieved if the affirmations were more? But I thank God I figured out a way of keeping myself motivated even without being affirmed... But I guess i realized we were many for my dad and he still had a hassle to deal with so he wasn't present for that.

As an only child raised by a single mum, the sibling rivalry was been me and her...we didn't agree on so many things...there was alot of friction. I stressed her alot bambi but now our relationship is great. In my adult life, i've gone through alot of therapy to uproot the damage from childhood. Because i was older than my sister, i was expected to be patient with her when she started a fight, i was not to complain or report her. When it got to going back to school, my list was taken care of last and sometimes not, because i was the older and patient one. Our parent threw a party everytime my sister was returning for holidays and for me on the other hand, she one time forgot to pick me up after a long term without a visit. I was not to use any of her things or borrow her clothes but if i didn't share mine with her, my mum would scold me. I hated my sister but couldn't fight her! I shut down and stopped relating with my sister and mum. I would be in isolation all the time because i didn't feel like i belonged or even heard. I've had issues with confidence, low self esteem and self worth. We're friends with my sister now, i don't hate her anymore. I love her dearly because she's my own. I loved my brother because he would be the one to talk to me and comfort me. I remember he used to sacrifice and secretly give me all his pocket money, grab and groceries to take to school. Parents have to learn to listen to all their children. Hear them and get into their little positions. We shouldn't ignore their complaints. As a parent now, i'm intentional with my children. Every night during our devotional time, we all go through what we have done during the day and identify areas where each of us felt hurt , happy, not heard. If any of us wronged another or has something against another, we talk about it and apologize. This includes us, the parents. Whew... i've had to drop a few tears but it is well.

I am here for guided healthy competition...in my case, I was viewed as the golden child. I never put effort really, naturally, I am responsible, the youngest, I am an introvert and the sibling I follow is the opposite. I think our rivalry comes from the outside because personally, I wanted us to be twins lol. My sister also used to throw me under the bus in our early 20s, I thought what did I do to this person? But the animosity came from outside. Now we are trying again because I am not giving up hehhe.

I read a book about sibling rivalry that opened my eyes to how bad it can get and how commonly it goes into adulthood. I'm now intentional on not contributing to it as a parent yet not ignoring sibling fights completely. Sometimes one of the kids is actually wrong, sometimes someone needs to apologize, sometimes it's something really silly that can be ignored so we deal with things case by case, not one size fits all reaction

We are 3 girls, am the second. I fought so much with my big sister, more especially in secondary because we were studying far from home, and she was always acting the parent. Yet I was the law breaker always. When we were younger there was no much fighting but she was smart, and somehow it was a motivation for me . I did better coz she was doing best. But I really hated it when they would compare us, saying she is better than me, and I would not make it to what she has done. So I would work even harder and either be better or at the same level. I never ever saw it as a competition. Right now, we are close because I am the one teaching her the life she missed while she was being a parent at a younger age 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The mother figure in her comes up sometimes but I quickly remind her that am now old and know exactly what am doing.

Actually mine wasnt subling rivalry I come from a blended family, so my step mum always referred to me as “ nabakyala” because she felt like i was favoured by my dad-her husband. She did alot to put me down.

Well, i am the last born of 4, but you guys, I fought with my big sister(one i follow) the whole time and yet bambi she is an introvert and i am the opposite 😂just like Roste, i remember one day, she even beat me and broke my right hand😅... but now we are the favourites of all times. I love you guys for being so real and legit. Like I literally follow and feel its worth it, not like the other shows where people come along to prove a point and a whole show of lies...... proud of being a bump love product you guys have helped me improve alot in my relationship and life as a whole...🎉 You are my hero's this 23❤

I fought with my twin sister all the time and now she relocated to another city for university but she calls almost all the time, she even tells our little sis to tell me to go online so we can talk. She's always in my inbox asking when I'm going to visit here 😅😅 We're now there for each other like never before though we're more than 400km apart
