Ok I Love all your organization videos. My question is what do you do when you don’t have all the shelving you would/like need but want to store and organize. What do you consider when trying to get easy shelving. I’m a single income with a teen and toddler. Unfortunately when we bought our home it wasn’t something we thought about till the deed was done!

@@andreamiller7735 I am a huge fan of the container concept. I am watching this for organizing. For decluttering I was amazed by Decluttering at the Speed of Life by Dana K White. I listen to her podcast to. Its A Slob Comes Clean. The container concept is reducing what you have to fit the space you have. Every box, drawer, shelf, closet...etc is a container.

“If it’s not for everyday, it’s in the way” is a great quote. However, some things are worth keeping for sentimental reasons too. I like the idea of minimalist living, but I’m honestly glad I didn’t do it earlier. I lost my mom when I was 11, and dad and stepmom at 21. I hung onto every special thing that reminded me of them. I also had a very hard time not keeping every gift, card, drawings, etc. from my kids. My 22 yr old daughter died in a car accident in February. I’ve been going through things the last few months as I was in the process of moving into a new apartment. My daughter used to love writing little notes to me when she was younger and still at home (tons of them!) and also liked to hide some for me to find later. I can’t begin to tell you how much I treasure each one now, and my heart skips a beat when I find one. Please remember to keep sentimental things too, or at least take a picture of some of the things if you can’t keep them. You’ll thank yourself some day.
@moniqueb34323 жыл бұрын
@Daisy Mae...I am with you on sentimental things. Just lost my mom in October 2020 and I couldn't bear to part with many things. I told myself that it's okay and when I am ready, if I want to, I can part with them then. My 21 year old wanted all of the cards that were given to my mom. As she requested, I brought them all home. Blessings to you on your grief path as only you can move through it.

Thanks for your commitment to make our world more peaceful. We just sold our house and downsized to an RV...all while my Dad went into Hospice care. We had to clean out his house in addition to ours. We donated a lot of food, clothes, games, everything. We have two college kids...one who came on our summer trip. We needed to get a storage unit for the extra car & stuff. Although we managed decluttering & reorganizing pretty well, we now have to do the same thing for our 100-year old summer camp. I've been living in a state of overwhelming clutter, sort, donate, throw away, for 3 months. I'm looking forward to the day when everything has a place and everything is in its place. My Dad just passed a few days ago, so doing all of this is difficult. Your video encourages me to keep on going. May God bless you and your family 🙏.
