Great review. One thing I will mention with the MRRs on my Tacoma - The springs took around 1500-2000 miles to fully settle in. They got noticeably softer/smoother after that. I cranked up the compression settings several more clicks for a stiffer/better handling ride on-road after that settle period. I drop the high speed and low speed compression down all the way any time I air down.

I am looking to change my shocks and was confused betw. een IMS and MRR. You made all the different points very clear. Specially to know that IMS is softer on road and is tuned for trails was an important point to me. Thank you.

How much did the MRRs and Nitto tires affect your gas mileage? I am seriously considering do this right off rip so I dont have to worry about the damaged parts lol

With the IMS kit were you running the stock spring load dobinson offers or there heavier load springs? Also if the standard load springs, would the heavier springs help midigate some of that softness you speak about?

Hi. The lift height specs are broad. OEM lift heights are dependent on Bronco model, eg models with SAS, Badlands non-SAS, OBX non-SAS, etc. What lift heights are achievable for a non-sas Badlands vs OEM? Do you also know the travel length of the MRR, eg the delta between fully extended and fully compressed?

Wouldn't you have a higher risk of tie-rod failure if there is more travel of the tire than what the Ford Engineers designed it for? Have you reinforced the rack, pinion, and tierods to mitigate that risk?

Yes and yes. I have the stage one end cap and bearings from 74 weld and RPG tie rods

@@OFFTHEGRIND Thanks for all the amazing content you have on this channel, you do an awesome job. I was curious, maybe in the future, could you put together a playlist within your channel of all the modification videos you have done with your Bronco? Thanks

I’m curious about your “support” concerns with the IMS, do you think using one of the higher load rate springs would have fixed that issue for you?
@OFFTHEGRIND4 ай бұрын
The springs I had were the heaviest I could get. I think they valved them intentionally for off road performance being the primary, meaning a softer shock. But overall it’s a good shock. I’d rather it be valved biased to off-road than road manner. But the MRR does both really well

Can you tell me where you have your height settings, both front and back? I have the front set all the way at the bottom and the rear all the way at the top of the adjustment, and I am just about level. Dobinson is sending me 2 door front springs to try and correct this.

I kept them how I got them from the factory and didn’t changed the spring seat at all. The back is at its highest setting while I have about a half inch of threads in the front to bring it down a little if I wanted
@misander19764 ай бұрын
@@OFFTHEGRIND Thanks a lot. I could probably come up a half inch in the front to get level. I just wondered if my setting was normal. I would have thought they would have been more equal.
