Great footage and analysis, but the dimming of the footage periodically is a nuisance.

Everyone focused on who touched the ball first when that really shouldn't of mattered. Gonna keep saying it the no call KCI that led to Iowa's first points is criminal. And the fact that all broadcasted replays didn't show it is really sus. They either show an angle where the tackle's body blocks the contact or the replay begins after the contact was made. Huh, weird... Don't believe me... look at the over view shot, slow it down as much as possible, increase quality as much possible, zoom in to where the tackle and returner cross paths, take note of the yellow stripe on the tackles uniform to gauge his leg position, now play and pause quickly. You can see the tackle not only make contact but while in mid air his body twists 90° and the angle of his jump changes which is physically impossible without contact. Then the returner's leg shoots back in an attempt to catch his balance making the catch impossible. Then look at the closest ref he is 10yds away with the perfect angle to see it. Not good, but no one is perfect. But since there is a change of possession this whole play is under review. No excuse.

Are we not gonna mention the punt that was clearly touched by Iowa first, yet they got the ball inside Nebraska’s own 5 yard line?

No it wasnt
@skuzzlebut907Ай бұрын
@ Yes it was. Iowa player’s hand was in front of Husker player’s hand.

I agree, the refs let the game game play out. The best games are when you don't know the refs are there. I think they did a good job. would have liked a call there though :) It's the little things that make the Champions.

If Iowa had Riola they would be 11-1
@dasuperfandisciple6684Ай бұрын
That’s debatable how many times did Riola fumble that night and the ball it bounced right back into his hands? 2-3? Plus the INT the just went overtop Castro’s hands but did what they do best and kept themselves in the game to allow a couple impactful plays determine the game. My count could be off but Iowa could’ve easily had 4-6 turnovers that game. Will he continue to develop? Absolutely he’s oozing with talent but to say if Iowa had him we’d be 11-1 I’m not convinced at this point in his development. Iowa needs to find a passing game. No shot at Stratton but you have to be able to threaten the defense down field. He had some close but no cigar moments though
@williambrown5662Ай бұрын
@dasuperfandisciple6684 atleast the defense would have to take the pass into consideration rather than knowing they cant pass even furthering the effectiveness of a running game
@dasuperfandisciple6684Ай бұрын
@@williambrown5662 don’t disagree at all. Iowa won with a 4th string walk on qb that didn’t do much of anything. Just can’t help but point out the stud 5* QB fumbled 3-4 times and almost threw a pick on top of all that. He will get better I’m sure but the most precious thing in football is possession of the ball, and that kid as of now is a turnover machine and he’s just lucky Nebraska didn’t have more cause he put the ball on the ground at least 4 times
@tw5139Ай бұрын
Iowa would never allow a QB to play Pat Mahomes dress up every game. The kid needs to get his own identity.
@dasuperfandisciple6684Ай бұрын
@@tw5139 I dont disagree there either KF prefers a game manager over a play maker at QB I feel back for Cade cause he’s been injured each of the last 3 seasons and barely had the chance to make a significant impact. All I hope for is Sully to improve the passing game enough to encourage other QBs to take a chance at IOWA
@randywollin5732Ай бұрын
I agree that was a bad snap but in the cold and the snap and the hard ball, there is a high possibility of failed kick. Neb failed, Iowa didnt. Inconsistency in the details is what is causing Neb losses. Eliminate them and you win games, quit blaming others for your own failures and look within and fix it. You have the pieces, just do it. That is why Iowa has been successful in the big ten west.
@agradovilleАй бұрын
sorry but when you have a second to get the ball down that snap was ATROCIOUS!! Holder had zero time to get that ball down AND get laces turned. Great effort but it was the bad snap that caused this
