Amount of docking incompetence amazes me. Come in at a slight angle, get the bowline or a forward gunnel line cleat secured forward of the bow or forward gunnel cleat and then turn the helm hard over to the side of the dock your attached to and shift into reverse and this will pull the stern to the dock, secure stern line aft of the stern. Done

I would love to see everyone who uses these ramps to go watch a 150 boat bass tournament launch and load with no drama. We don't tie up to the dock and THEN go get our trailer. We tie up to the courtesy dock or drop off someone to get the trailer, go get the trailer, drop it in the next open ramp, then load the boat and get out of the way. It's quick, efficient and no drama.

I have to say watching you videos has been great. Now I see why so many camp out at the boat ramps there. Are you going to be going drone soon with some of the missed angle that can be caught at a higher altitude than straight across the water? Not saying anything is wrong with what you have though, just wondering, it's great when the people know they screwed up and are on video too. Keep them coming, enjoying from suburbs of Chicago

@@laurasanchez7105 Then they need to learn about boat ownership. But to not have the video shot blocked a drone would be good. Backing a boat up and knowing would be good before showing up at the ramp. Having a check list prior to holding up other works as well. I’m assuming this was the courtesy dock guy again. If every time your method fails, maybe it’s the incorrect method. 🤔 If I insisted on using the courtesy dock then once I got my trailer back to the ramps I would wait for an available slip like everyone else. Problem solved. To think you can tie up off to the side and leave to get your truck and everyone is suppose to know the first slip is yours on your return is mind boggling.

@@charlielee2461 Literally lol. In the end of the day dock space is dock space. I grew up fishing our family always had a boat launching was no big deal. Early 90s at a boat ramp close to Gig Harbor WA. Me and my Father in law (he was an ass) I say " hey you know you have a roller trailer right" as he is disconnecting the bow from the winch. I just removed the rear straps. He gives me a shitty look and gets in the suv and just the movement from the transmission engaging started it rolling. he was still 5' out from the water. I could see his face in the mirror when he realized his boat was launching with out him, F ing priceless. he bounced that boat off the bottom in 10" of water and instead of stopping to asses the damage he proceeds to push it the water out drive down an all. Well I was supposed to take the boat back to the house Screw that you drive your fucked up boat. LSS He had a nice SUV.

Bronco, about the guy in the truck, he is the one screwing up, if you get an open ramp dock slot, you tie up THEN you go get the truck and no one can slip in the ramp before you get back, it's his own fault he ties up out of the way and screws himself each time.

its Florida statues, The trailer has the right of way. First trailer in the ramp owns it. Some ramps have signs in the parking lot explaining it. Your boat in the slip means nothing. Most ramps you have to line up the trucks and the boats float or hang out on the finger dock until you have an open ramp. Another pet peeve of mine is you set up your boat on a finger pier. Once you launch, clear the ramp for the next person, then prep your boat for a day on the water. I can't tell you how many timesI had to wait to launch my boat while people were putting sunscreen on their kids.
