Dock pulls 4k@120hz AND MORE out of your Steam Deck and other handheld PCs! BenQ GR10 Review

Hey guys, rewatching my review, I realize I forgot to put photos of using the dock with other devices. I do want to point out that any other handheld PC I socketed in the flip stand did sit fine. Steam Deck, SD OLED, Lenovo Legion Go, ROG ALLY (non X), etc. There are some devices that do tend to be “top heavy” which can make the handheld kickback when moved but only the ROG ALLY X “tilted forward”. Sorry for forgetting this part, if you have questions, please do not hesitate!

You could've went a lot easier, a lot softer, and no-one would've blamed you. That's what everyone else does. After all, it's just a dock, right? But, that's not your style. I wish one of these companies would make a dock that the Deck actually docks into. Maybe I'm petty, but I am not having one of these things sitting in my living room that just has a USB C cable sticking out when there is no Deck on it. Those kind of gadgets are for a basement or work-shed, for tinkering and testing devices. They don't look good on a desk, let alone a communal or guest area of a home.

Ahhh I hear you. However, I don’t find the GR10 to be fugly, maybe cause I like boxy symmetrical stuff but it still doesn’t address the cable. I did test out with putting the Deck upside down to be able to « dock » it, the three issues are the USB-C not being long enough, the USB-C of the Deck not being centered and the vents being blocked. I hope a next Steam Deck will have a USB-C at the bottom

@@GameTechTalk This is by far the best looking dock so far, but yeah I wish there was a better solution for the cable sticking out. Brydge had some nice solutions for laptops and Analogue and Nintendo for handhelds.

I have 4 different docks they all have a cord that goes unto the top then connect to TV. I agree with a true dock however that would need a usb c at the bottom.

@@CleanDesign_ In the « USB-C at the bottom » solutions, AYN’s dock is also really nice to have and it does work with most handheld PCs I’ve tested.

This is actually I like this because of its versatility. It has a lot of support as a dock and even SUPPORTS LAN. WONDERFUL. I personally would get one eventually for its hub capabilities, having two monitors one for my windows PC and the other for my Mac/ iPad. I feel like this would be good for my set up as it’s a hub and can connect everything all at once

The hub capabilities of this device is definitely a sleeper « killer » feature. Imagine if it had MicroSD/SD reader and 3.5mm jack? It’d be everything.

Minishoot' Adventures, really enjoyed blasting through this entire game! It's a shmup metroidvania as they call it, but quite frankly, I think it's more shmup meets Zelda SNES topdown action adventure than it is metroidvania. Loved it, highly recommend it!

Got the dock but when trying my steam deck it would not charge properly, it would slow charge. Tried using anker 120 watt charger and the steam deck charger.

That's weird, sorry for asking but just to make sure, you did plug the cable in the one that is behind right? Just to make sure because the USB-C to the side will not supply power to the unit.

Look, I know I can watch things sometimes that are so cringy it makes me feel uncomfortable in my own body, so I apologize if I caused this for you.
