Love his reflection of his parents influence of Jazz and of New Jersey's bad rap but a great opportunity to play with his form of music:)

Good interview. He's a very bright bloke who speaks very well. I've seen the Jukes about 10 times and his rapport and banter with the crowd is always exceptional. One of the greats, in my view.

Always liked Southside. The first time I saw Bruce was when he showed up at a Jukes concert.

If you live in northern NJ today in 2019 you live in splendor... beautiful homes and usually an acre of land with streams parks concert halls Main Street and mall shopping golf courses beaches great pizza great restaurants great schools..in the early 80s it was just developing into the affluent suburbia of today ... just for the record ...so knock NJ all you want... we know how good we have it now

Cool Johnny .. just getting into his stuff now at 27, having been a big piano rock fan who plays and sings - bass and guitar as well as piano... getting tired of billy joel and elton john is good but not very uplifting as he's a rather sad individual inside. But SS Johnny has got something I like.. and even though from Connecticut myself I love NJ, been to Eatontown and that surrounding area for a few months not too long ago :) So hello to all NJ fans of this great musician.

I was born in Passaic NJ in 1960. I always liked Johnny more than “The Boss” Johnny is more “Jersey” than Bruce IMHO. Johnny’s a better singer. He has soul. Bruce was all about the tough guy. My image of the Springsteen fan is a macho Italian guy who drives a Firebird or Camaro. Johnny is much more down to earth. He’s also a hell of a lot smarter than Bruce. Hell, he knows who John McPhee was!
