Ooo, I think you were cooking with the "creature" point. I hadn't picked up on that distinction, but the Maestro does call her a creature. It's always the throwaway lines that you realize are important later. Maestro is a god, so if Ruby freaks them out, she must be something more than human. Or at the very least, descended from something more than human. If Ruby was just a human, a powerful alien, or even just a god, I don't think that Maestro would have said they were "wrong." I think Ruby is probably a hybrid of a god or Time Lord or something, and it's the mixed combination of her parentage that freaks out the Maestro.

Stop devils chord at 35:46. Ruby could be on a cross. What defeats the equivalent of Satan? A big good. The “kind woman” in the next episode. Ruby is her daughter. The kind woman hands baby Ruby to old Ruby. And old Ruby leaves herself on the church steps for the goblins to eat on midnight of Christmas Eve. This self sacrifice prevents Sutekh from entering the world by changing the time lines. And of course Ruby is the color of blood and Sunday is the sabbath. I think RTD did a VERY traditional Christmas story.

Also we know what the song is that she sings before carol of the bells in the devils chord but it could be seen as a slight spoiler (we’ll see how the final plays out) so if you don’t wanna know anything that may be coming don’t search it

I can’t access it right now but I don’t recall the word “exactly”. But Kate did give it in different units like 67 meters which is not exactly 73 yards and which also is 666 decimeters rounded to the nearest meter. The alternate theory would be that RTD gave us a character identified with Satan in pyramids of Mars and then only accidentally wrote 73 yard and 67 meters which were just coincidentally rounding of 666 decimeters

I hate that when they made such a fuzz about it, it turns out that her parents are just a normal story. Pregnant teen hides pregnancy leaves baby in the cold. Since she`s not leaving after all, maybe they find a way to make her dad special or something

A few points before the season finale tonight: 1. "Carol of the Bells" is from Ukraine. Might there be a political message there on RTD's part? 2. Concerning Maestro calling Ruby a "creature," one of the previous Doctor actors referred to the Doctor as "an alien creature" in one of his first interviews after taking the role. I was struck by that because it was such an unusual choice of words -- I think an actor who had thought less deeply about the role would have said "alien being." 3. Rogue's reference to a "new boss" seems like a non sequitur at present. Surely Sutekh isn't in charge of an organization of bounty hunters? This line feels like a setup for a future storyline, but possibly one to appear in a later season. 4. Might there be a connection between the name "Ruby Road" and "The Wizard of Oz"? In the movie with Judy Garland, Dorothy walks along the Yellow Brick Road wearing ruby slippers, and Glinda the Good Witch (a character with powers arguably comparable to those of a goddess) saves Dorothy and her friends from the Deadly Poppy Field by covering it in snow. (In the book, the slippers are silver, and field mice rescue the Lion from the Poppy Field by hauling him out on a sledge. The Scarecrow and Tin Man are able to carry Dorothy out of the poppy field themselves in the book, which they cannot do in the movie.) Also, there's an important character from "Doctor Who'"s past named Dorothy, although I can't say more than that without spoilers for pre-Gatwa era material.
