So Sal actually left out one of the craziest things about the Fast And Furious things. Which is it got so crazy that Vin Diesel actually broke everyone down essentially using DND stat sheets then tried to apply DND combat hit point logic to measure out how much damage everyone was doing and taking. Sadly the studio didn’t use anything he did.

I believe the Oz crossover was cause Marvel got the rights to adapt the book and not the movie, while DC's parent company WB owned the MGM classic. Marvel wanted to adapt it with the now iconic MGM imagery, flying monkeys, Ruby's slippers, melting the Witch, the 3 farmhands she dreams up as her Oz friends, ect. So Marvel just asked DC about it and they decided to coproduce it and slipt the money 50/50.
@Volvagia19272 жыл бұрын
Basically: Marvel bought the rights because of the movie, didn't realize how much of that movie was distinctly...not in the novels, but no one at Marvel really wanted to draw a super accurate adaptation eschewing the movie specific stuff.

Fuck, I hate to do this but, Jim Shooter got his start in comics writing for DC, he was 14 years old, this was 1965. BTW he invented Parasyte.
