I noticed Macrobid antibiotic was not on your list. However it seems to get rid of infection fast.

Macrobid (nitrofurantoin) is an antibiotic primarily used to treat and prevent uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs). [Macrobid] Nitrofurantoin is primarily active against the bacteria causing lower UTIs, such as E. coli. its efficacy against other bacteria that might cause upper UTIs (pyelonephritis or kidney infections) isn't as strong. it doesn't achieve good tissue concentrations in the kidneys, making it less effective for treating kidney infections.

Hello doc please I need your help, I have lower back pain but not so hard under the ribs close to spine. First it was just on the right side but 2 days ago it started on the left. It is small pain but it iritates me. Sometimes it is on right, sometimes on left but never in the same time on both sides. I urinate normall no pain, I have no others symptoms. Mine were causing the most severe pain in the front. Yes it did hurt in the back also but worst in the front. Why is that? Second, how do you get infection in one kidney and not the other?
