Writers better do a better job . This show had no real story . What is it suppose to be about ?? Why would the script call for 2 Nurses who are so rude to the New Doctor’s face & then the Doctor is having a thing with the female nurse … just stupid scenes not making sense . Def not “ The Love Boat “ ….. disappointed.. 27:37

I have watched episode 2 now and I think it's quite a bit better than this pilot episode specifically in the writing department. It's still not a perfect episode by any means but definitely an improvement in my opinion.

I felt like the show was all about the 2 ship “ nurses “…. & I was absolutely unimpressed by their roles . They were rude & disrespectful & towards the new Ship Doctor who obviously is suppose to have the lead role . The. Writers better do a better job or this show won’t make it . I feel these 27:37 two need to leave the Ship …. ASAP . And there just was no real story or substance . Def not “The Love Boat “

Surprised by how small the ensemble cast is. Four main characters and one reoccurring character. Wouldn't be odd if this was a sitcom but odd for a hour long episode.

Thanks for checking out the review, I appreciate it! Yeah that is a great observation. Maybe as the show goes on we will see more of some other characters like the Captain's crew members or repeat guests on the cruise ship. I think the isolated setting of a cruise ship might limit the size of the ensemble cast though...

The crew sleeping with superiors. The captain even eventually sleeps with a passenger which is an absolute no. What an unprofessional show.

Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah they certainly stretch some rules in this show in order to develop drama and romantic relationships. I would definitely understand if that doesn't work for some people. I would agree that its a little over the top so far. However, I feel that way about a lot of Ryan Murphy projects...

The storyline confuses me, like the female nurse had an attitude with the doctor initially, and then the later half of the episode, they’re making out? There’s very little dialogue that supports that progression. Very jarring. And adding Don Johnson probably hurt more than helped because he’s one of the bigger names, so people probably expect him to do more. I don’t know. Not impressed so far.

Dude. Nobody wants to watch a 30 minute review about a show that contain no spoilers. They would rather spend their time actually watching the show. If you’re going to review the show, then talk about the entire show, every detail, every spoiler. The reason I clicked on this video was to see your opinion on what I just watch but, I’m stopping after 2 1/2 minutes because I have no interest in a non-spoiler review.

First, thanks for checking out the review and I’m sorry you were disappointed. I would completely agree with your point here if this was not a review for a “pilot” episode. If this was episode 2 or 72 of a show, I would of course dive into spoilers and discuss every detail of the episode. However, since the nature of a pilot is to attract people to a new show by grabbing their attention and interest, I think it is very worthwhile to some to make a review that simply discusses whether this pilot is worth checking out and also the series in general going forward. Also, if you did watch more of the review, I do discuss many events of this episode while giving my thoughts (begins around the 5:50 mark). I don’t believe I ever said “no spoilers” at anytime during the video, instead I said “light spoilers” meaning that I will touch on things that happen just not in great detail so if anyone hasn’t seen it yet, they don’t get the entire episode spoiled and make it not worth watching. If I do cover future episodes of this show, I will definitely be doing more of a recap styled video where I discuss details and plot points of the episode. I just did it this way for the pilot episode.

What a snooze fest. Didn't even make it halfway through. All gloss, no substance. Cast that looks like they all live in West Hollywood/Beverly Hills. Can you say "Fake AF"? The set design steals the show. That's the only interesting thing about this production. The paint by the numbers characters, script, & acting are an insult to the intelligence of the audience. I hope this ship sinks.

I think I just had lower expectations than a lot of people going into this show because I really didn't think it was THAT bad. But I have definitely seen others with similar thoughts about this pilot so I don't blame you at all. If it counts for anything, I did check out episode 2 and thought it was quite a bit better than this pilot episode especially in the writing department.
