except blue light filters are not evidence based so it's another ridiculous health product but anyway details: - sleep is a process, a lot of sources of blue light help people sleep over all (e.g. tv shows help many people sleep), so even if there was robust evidence that blue light had a negative impact on melatonin, which there absolutely is not, it wouldn't mean that it stopped you sleeping. Melatonin production is one small part of the sleep process - the one study that found "blue light" kept you awake were actually overclaming, they found specifically that some people were awake for an extra 10 minutes when they used an ipad vs reading a book. 10 minutes. Ipad. Not a significant amount of time and no reason to think it was the blue light and not how entertaining an ipad can be

@@marissajb9855 totally agree, and more times than not of you take a bunch of supplements then it's either bad for you or you just end up using what your body needs and you passing the rest through. That's assuming that your diet is providing you with all the things you need, I'm not trying to argue that supplements aren't necessary because there's plenty of people that aren't getting what they need through various reasons..but that's a different set of circumstances and a different conversation... unless you live in a food desert or third world country, it's highly unlikely you'd fall in the category.... But generally speaking products like airborne or other vitamin c or vitamin b supplements that you're supposed to take as a magic cure for the cold or flu is just not true. Just to be clear I am not associated with the medical profession at all, I'm a systems engineer so I could be wrong about any of this but I have personally had some health issues that's led to poor diet so I've had this conversation with my own doctor.
@fuabtreter73022 жыл бұрын
What the above comment said, plus - assuming that these things actually worked - "helping your body" will essentially make you dependent since your body gets so used to these things that after some time it won't work as well on its own. Now I'm not sure that this applies the same way but for example: yes your legs work perfectly well but you could help your body move by sitting in a motorised wheelchair all the time. It's way less stress on you legs and back of course, but eventually your muscles will degrade leaving you dependant on the wheelchair.

Don't use an antiperspirant. It blocks your pores to an unhealthy standard. Humans are designed to sweat. And if you want to use deodorant, but you don't like how it changes the odor of your body, try rose water. It's deodorant that makes your sweat unsmelly, so you can apply perfume and stuff. But either way inhaling small fungal particles cannot be good for your lungs. Coco coir resists decomposition and has some antifungal properties but it releases a lot of small dust particles. None of those things are going to filter out all the particles that you’d want it to filter out, potentially even introducing harmful particles.

8:34 This sounds like a TENS machine, which is also used for chronic neurological pain management, not just muscle stimulation? I was recommended to use one by the local pain clinic team - it doesn't stop the pain longterm, but it can provide temporary relief, if you can find the right combo of strength and wavelength.

The whole posture thing is why I really started focusing on training my back properly when lifting. The military is so obsessed with push-ups as part of their physical fitness assessment that I accidentally began overtraining my chest and developing a forward “hunch”.

Fun dynamics!:) I use oura ring for a year now: - stopped drinking almost completely (saw in numbers what alc does to my sleep for several days) - moving more ( their activity assessment algorithm, but a gamification moment worked for me well) - chill more when fatigued (can show bad stats to my family and they leave me alone :)) It is more accurate in comparison to fitness bracelets due to permanent closeness to skin. Said that... It's overpriced for what it is. I would wait a year or so for wearable market to get more saturated
@mantailuaa2 жыл бұрын
The Oura ring is absolutely worth to buy. It shows very accurately your sleeping patterns and you can make some changes to your evening routines to get more rest. Same goes with exercise, the data is very easy to understand. I don't like to wear a big watch on me but ring is very handy.

@DirgeTV Жыл бұрын
"Do you really want a boosted immune system?" As someone who's been living with Psoriasis, I can confirm you really don't. Unless you love having: - Itchy skin legions on your arms and legs (Don't scratch BTW as tempting as it might be, Instant bleeding and pain) - Spots on your abdomen that feel like you've got fish hooks lodged in and pulling on you every time you turn - Reduce flexibility in your joints It just amazes me that this stuff is just allowed to exist.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Blue light Gasses absolutely work. My eye were in literal Pain, and red, and dry. I went to the eye doctors, they said nothing was wrong. So I finally had to sit and think it had to be my electronics, cause I’m on it at work all day, and then at home. So I find out about Blue light, figured what the heck, and ordered them. Eyes back to NORMAL. So people can say what they want, but it will help some people. I’m not saying it will fix everyone’s issue, but if you knew how much issues I had with my eyes, and for it to be all gone. You would understand the issue of people saying it doesn’t work, and it actually does.

She seems like a delightful woman to be around! There's been talk on TikTok that we should be using bile salts if we've had our gallbladder removed. Can you confirm this in a video? Maybe you can format it as things that doctors may forget to tell you, or something along those lines?
@jennifers7952 жыл бұрын
Would love to hear Dr Mike cover this. For your own situation, ask your primary care doctor. From what I have seen, the websites that say you need bile salt supplements are the ones that sell bile salts. The more reputable, non-commercial sites, like the Mayo clinic, don't mention bile salt supplementation in their question and answer columns about gallbladder removal and digestive issues. Your liver will still be producing bile salts. The role of the gallbladder is to control how much is released and when.

Isn’t our gallbladder not even needed for our survival?
