My husband had a very serious accident in our home; we almost lost him, thankfully he is still with us. A friend of ours who was going through some hard times was staying with us at the time, she is Native American. The first time I came home from the hospital to get fresh clothes and whatnot, she brought out a sage bundle and a feather. We walked around the entire house, using the feather to move the sage smoke into every corner, nook and cranny, to drive away the negative energy/bad spirits. She felt better afterwards, and I felt better just knowing how much she loved us.

@@spookybattieI took it more so as him making fun of the dunce that wrote the description and title. Smudge sticks are for your soul, your happiness, and peace of mind. They aren’t for the physical, and things like that description and title honestly give such a negative impression of smudging. People expect something out of it that will never happen. Lighting a smudge stick won’t free you from every argument. It’ll help you relax and maybe bring some more positive energy into your life because it’s a proactive set you’re taking to do some self-care. The only thing I liked about that smudge stick was that it wasn’t palo santo. But I almost know for certain that seller has “palo santo” smudge sticks.

Aboriginal Canadian here, thanks for not trashing the smudging practice. We use alot of sage and sweetgrass in ceremonies here as a means to help with spiritual maladies and have more intention in our lives through ceremony, every band/people has different uses and different medicines but its held very close to our hearts. I also take the medicinal benefits of smudging with a grain of salt but i will say its calming and makes me feel more in touch with my heritage and ancestors. Love your videos, cheers from Calgary Alberta

@casperh5452
@casperh5452 6 ай бұрын
@@prajwalkrishnabhat5539 you know it shouldn't be advertised or sold at all, in our culture it's only supposed to be gifted or picked from the land and replaced with another medicine as you're doing it, give what you take essentially. If someone sells you sage or sweetgrass they're essentially robbing you and probably selling medicine that's lost its potential of having any sort of ceremonial benefit, this is how it was explained to me by my elders. Again, believe what you want, I'm a pretty extreme skeptic and cynic when it comes to most things in life but I respect our culture practices as it's heritage, it's peaceful and calming, and we keep it to ourselves unless asked and the only people appropriating it arent even native. As a massage therapist, who stays focused on the sports and pain management/ relief side of the industry and stays away from the snake oil stuff, I use cupping, mostly for my athletic clients or clients who just love deep tissue, I definitely recommend it. There are a few different types of cupping and they all have different purposes. I only do moving cupping and I know how to do stationary but I do not do that one much because most people do not want to walk around looking like an octopus attacked them from the marks they leave which are not bad marks just not pretty lol. It helps aid in getting lactic acid build up flushed out into the lymphatic system which is what causes the muscle soreness after working out and the suction of the cups break the capillaries which are the small blood vessels that transport nutrients and oxygen into the body which those things of course are needed in aiding muscle recovery and when it breaks them the body then brings healthier blood flow into the area that was cupped. With all this being said. Yes absolutely do NOT use this if you do not know how to use it. Massage therapists, physical therapist, medical doctors, chiropractors are trained how to use these and are taught what are and are not contraindications for it and also where you can and cant put them on the body. These things can be misused and do harm when misused so please consult the ones who are trained for proper evaluation if it is a good fit for you to receive it or not.

I have that sleep mask and it really does work. I need a completely dark room to sleep, which is kind of impossible. But, this mask works very well in giving me the dark room I need to sleep well. It also doesn't smash my eyes...huge plus on that! Hi, Bear!!!

I have and use a sleep mask. Light bothers the hell out of me and I prefer pure darkness. Also, my wife has trouble falling asleep so I encourage her to use her lamp on her side and read a book (instead of scrolling on her phone). So, she can unwind and I can sleep. It has no health benefits other than blocking out light and for that I love it.

The red-eye mask reminds me a little of the migraine mask my mom got me. It looks stupid, and I had my doubts, especially since I really don't like being touched by anything when I have a migraine. However, she's trying her best to help, so I gave it a try, and I actually really like it. It can be heated or cooled. Heat usually helps my migraines more than the cold, but I've found it helpful even when cool. It applies pressure around my whole head, and that's where I find it to be the most helpful. I still need to put my head under hot running water to help with a full-blown migraine, but I've found the mask really helpful during times I've caught the migraine before it got too far.
