I think it's a good decision not include Ironman variant because RDJ gave us a legendary acting as the Ironman who died heroically in the 616 universe's Endgame. We knew what will happen, so I don't want to see Ironman dies again.

The Reed Richard was awesome for like 2 seconds. Then they killed him off in such a mediocre way. Reed is one of the smartest human characters in marvel, I would dare say Richard is smarter than Tony stark by a mile. He should have been prepared with some contingencies to deal with Scarlet witch. Also if they're going a secret wars route I imagine Kang will be the person in Dr Dooms place seeing as the absolute closest we've got to F4 in the McU so far is 1 reed Richard's from an alt universe. Introducing Doom and it going straight into that storyline would suck ass because of minimal set up, whereas with Kang we've already had a brief set up for him ready for ant-man 3 and they've sort of set him up as someone that wants to either takeover or wipe out the multiverse so kinda makes sense for them to have Kang in the place Doom is in during secret wars

considering how Phase 4 is going in a way to be as close to the comics as possible, the newly reformed/combined Earth after Secret Wars or whichever "DC Comics crisis level event" that Marvel is doing would have Earth-199999 be redesignated as the Earth-616 proper for the MCU for Phase 5 and above, if they could ever get there, which is a nice change of pace to differentiate branding as compared to how DCEU has ALL their live-action adaptations start at Earth-1. Recall back how their recent movies have a bit of priming the audience to prep for understanding the concepts they want to introduce before going all in on it in later movies, which is very on brand of the Marvel Studios entries.

Each timeline is another universe. So multiverse = multiple timelines. These exist naturally with each universe having a dominant timeline. However, if one universe causes an event where another branching timeline is getting created then it is a problem as that universe is in trouble with divergent timelines threatening the "main established" timeline. So the TVA prunes those within a universe. However it is ok for multiple timelines with each timeline being dominant in those multiple universes.

Well from what I've seen. We have Timetravel, the same earth but different points in time.(Avengers Endgame and Loki). Alternative Realities, same universe but different places in spacetime meaning different set of rules (Ant-Man and the Wasp, Dr. Strange and Loki ). Different timelines, the same earth but different choices leading to different outcomes and characters (Loki). Multiverse, different sets of rules meaning different outcomes and different fix points.(Loki and Multiverse of Madness). But that's just my theory.

My understanding is that the Avengers thought they developed a time machine that can travel to different timelines, but what they REALLY developed as a machine that could travel to alternate universes. Timelines = Alternate Universes. During Endgame, all alternate universes were essentially the same as the main MCU timeline, known as the sacred timeline. And then shit went down during the Loki TV Series that undid all that. And now we have a fucked up multiverse where everything is different and potentially dangerous. The TVA is no more and torn apart so we wont be seeing them trying to take care of variants and pruning timelines. They may come back in Loki season 2 but as of right now they are defunct.

Armor Wars - Tony Stark's tech falls into the wrong hands. You mean RiRi Williams, right? She's got supervillain written all over her. Basically she's Killmonger. Though, haven't they really already done this story, basically, in the MCU? The villain of Iron Man 1, Iron Monger, had Tony's tech. The villain of Iron Man 2, Whiplash, had Tony's tech. The villain of Iron Man 3 briefly hijacked Tony's tech (Iron Patriot). Not to mention Electro and Dr. Octopus playing with it in No Way Home. I know in the comics the plot was that Tony discovered that basically EVERY armored villain in the Marvel universe was using some stuff pirated from him and so he went around disabling or destroying them all, including a lot of really lame D-list characters like... Stilt Man... basically an excuse for them to get rid of some of these garbage characters, I think. That was actually the only Iron Man comic(s) I ever actually read. But wasn't Dr. Doom also one of the guys that stole from Tony in that comic storyline? Are they going to bring him in as the villain?

Interesting that the killing of the Illuminati were written differently. I wonder if they considered using the Sub-Mariner at all. I do hope they figure out a way of bringing back the Inhumans but not on the cheap this time. The talent was there in the actors but the writing and showrunner are to blame for how it turned out. When they finally bring back mutants and the X-Men it would provide a great opportunity for some conflict, just like in the books. Thanks Charlie!

Hi Charlie.. Honestly I’m glad there wasn’t a lot of cameos…only because we already had a movie with lots of “cameos” (spider man no way home) and I think having a lot of cameos would’ve slowed the movie down (my own personal opinion) I think the cameos we got was just right…the fact Mr.Fantastic was in the movie…was not only great but I also hope that this was marvel’s way of formally introducing John K as the new Mr.Fantastic.. I hope he returns to “our” universe as Mr.Fantastic I think having too much cameos tends to slow the pace of the story. But Dr.Stange 2 had the perfect balance of cameos. Plus.. Patrick Stewart came back..that for me was the cherry on top for this movie. I wouldn’t mind seeing Tom Cruise in a MCU movie..but I rather have it be another character not iron man

I wish I could agree with you but you have a movie named Multiverse of Madness… For the majority of casual fans, that means crossovers. If that wasn’t the focus of the movie, that’s cool. Just maybe title it something else? I honestly figured it would have been littered with innocuous cameos… Deadpool in the background cooking tacos, or Cal doing X-Men TAS Wolverine when they were passing through the multiverses, or any other cameo. Despite the fantastic acting by Benedict and Elizabeth it felt like a huge letdown to most people. Like, they didn’t even try to be creative with the multiverse concept. Which again, would have been fine if they would’ve named it like “Darkhold of Madness” or something along that line. Because the movie was more about the Darkhold then it was the multiverse.

I guess as a non comic fans I got hyped for just the movie in general and when I saw Patrick Stewart i was wow!! And your critique of the movies title…I gotta say…you did pinpoint some major flaws that the movie had( I will agree the movie did have its meh moments..but not too much..again..I’m just a big action/comedy/ movie fan) but hearing comic book fans give their take as well as to take the time to explain their knowledge of certain characters and story lines and go into a bigger picture of the movie and it’s characters helps me to have a better understanding of the movie.. On of my favourite Easter Eggs is in the film "Man Of Steel - Superman". Featured at 2h 04m 32s into the film they fight on a construction sight. Behind Superman is a sign saying 104 days since an accident, then as Superman is hit into the sign, the 1 and 4 falls off, as in 0 days since an accident. I found the joke very funny and I've never known about it until I watched the film the other day.

I enjoyed dr strange but I have to admit I was a bit let down with the film as we really didn’t get to see any multiversal madness ensue but rather just went to one alternate universe with Scarlett witch going into madness. It was a great fun film but I was expecting a lot more multiverse travel than what we got and a villain working behind the scenes that would be revealed and Scarlett witch teams up with strange to take down the real culprit of all the crap happening but instead scarlet witch was in fact the main villain :/
