I was also confused about this. That's why I used to use benzoyl peroxide (whole face) for about 1 or 2 hours in the evening and then wash it of. For rest of the night, I use adapalene or vitamin c.

I would love if you could give a video about adult acne and melasma regimen. I struggle with both. Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% leave on works so well for my acne and I don't feel irritated from it at all, but I fear it is leading to some melasma or possibly why it won't clear up and keeps spreading. Also what do you think about tazorac short contact therapy, especially if it doesn't seem irritating at all? I've never been able to stick with any prescription retinoids left on all night, but the tazoract short contact therapy has done wonders for acne without flaking or irritation like leave on retinoids caused me. Thank you!

Hey Dr V, I am new to your channel and have been binge watching like a mad woman. This is much needed content and a gap in skin care overall. I watched your interview with Dr Shah (sp??). He said "I get pimples but I don't have acne". That left me a tad confused. I had terrible acne in my youth until my 30's. I'm now in my 50's and lately I have been getting occasional but persistent pimples here and there? Should I consider myself to have acne or just occasional pimples??? They have an amazing cc cream with spf 30 and invisible sunscreen which melts into brown skin tone and claim to be chemical free but I am not sure looking at the actual ingredients.
