Dr V I can’t thank you enough for what you do. Thank YOU FOR BEING THE GENEROUS YOU! Quick note - there were so many products I was looking forward to from the Avene brand. Do you think you can create another video and cover the rest of Avene’s range (e.g. cleansers, mineral sunscreens, eye creams, physiolift range, spring water etc).

Hi Dr. V, I am here to tell you how amazingly The Ordinary pigmentation routine that you put together on your KZbin channel has worked out for me. I wished I had clicked pictures before starting the routine so I can show the difference, but after about two months of following the routine, the changes are starting to show. My skin has responded well to almost all of the products recommended in that routine with the exception of CeraVe, which I have replaced with The Ordinary's Natural Moisturising Factors. Your videos have been such an eye opener for the Skin of Colour community. Thank you for all that you do for us. Take care x

I've been waiting for this video for the longesttt time yayy! I was hoping you'd share your thoughts on their thermal spring water too, it's such a cult favourite and I was wondering if I should invest in it or just put some water in a misting bottle instead 😅
@vanitarattan4 жыл бұрын
Video coming soon x
@already8use4 жыл бұрын
I used to doubt that thermal water would do anything! But to be honest when I was looking at other brands for mists they always had fragrances or alcohol denat or propylene glycol! Which appeared to make my skin look so much worse :( . You can use it before applying your cream - after washing your face - or if you dont want to wash your face - in the summer.. It s so inexpensive and it does soothes my skin.

Thank you so much for the review. I actually bought 2 other products you suggested that was good for our skin from another video, Cerave. I got the PM facial moisturizing lotion and the foaming facial cleanser. I really like them a lot! A few weeks ago a style was forming on my eye. I made a solution from aloe juice and dried orange peel, and used a cotton pad to rub it on my eyelid. I continued with my face wash routine and used the solution on my face and eyes and then added the moisturizer before bed. It stopped the stye from growing and got rid of it without any marks! This combo is also fading my old scars, which is making me very happy. I have PCOS and I've be struggling to find something that will help get rid of the hormonal acne and the scars. If you have any more suggestions that can help please share. Thanks so much!

@dancerdancer313 Жыл бұрын
I use the XeraCalm Lipid Replenishing BALM (not the cream) and i love it! Highly recommend to any of my fellow eczema sufferers out there because your skin is not producing skin lipids like regular ppl with normal skin. Also, the longer and more severe your eczema has been, the dryer your skin will be due to the skin trauma. I was using the La Roche Posay Lipid Replenishing Baume Lipikar AP+ from July 2018 when my new dermatologist gave me a sample at his office up until La Roche Posay DISCONTINUED the Lipikar AP+ Lipid Replenishing Baume and they replaced it with that "Triple Action AP+M" rubbish that's a totally different product. They thought they were slick and could replace the product and call it "New and improved" lol - it not even the same product and many other ppl have noticed that. Anyways, thanks for the info in this video, I'll check out that face mask. I love a face mask, but i have to be careful with the ones I select. I also highly recommend that eczema sufferers buy the Avène Thermal Spring Water spray. Use it on clean skin (right after your shower before you apply ur moisturizer or if u have an irritated area on your skin, clean it, then spray the thermal water to sooth it, let it dry a bit and apply ur moisturizer). The thermal water also stops skin weeping! I found that out by accident in 2021 when I got that allergic reaction to the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C serum. The thermal spring water has a high mineral content - just like the of the healing power of the ocean, same idea. All it's missing is the extreme saltiness that kills bacteria.

I got the retinal on sale back in Nov. Haven't used it. So it doesn't give you peeling and redness? like retinol 0.1%by Paula's choice
@mickey94094 жыл бұрын
Hi from what ive gathered from Dr. Vs videos, the form she's talking about in the video is kinda different from regular retinol so whereas we should avoid 0.1% retinol because it's too harsh, 0.1 of retinaldehyde doesn't affect skin of color as harshly. However you just need to make sure you don't have a damaged skin barrier as well. She has some more retinol videos on her channel and retinaldehyde is her favorite retinol for skin of color! If you're gonna use Paula's choice the retinol 0.3 is Dr. V approved!

@MoonPie444 жыл бұрын
@@teeshaluv3757 it is hydrating but if you have very dry skin, I would say to put on another layer or a heavier moisturiser especially at night and in the winter, or use with a serum. It’s definitely a good one as a daytime moisturiser (not heavy or oily looking). My skin is very sensitive, combination and acne prone and I find it works well on its own for my skin type. Most nights I will use a toner and that cream and I don’t get any dryness. If my skin needs some extra TLC in the winter nights I will put on the extreme emulsion and then put on a layer of La Roche Posay Cica Balm
