Production designer Arwel Wyn Jones asked Jodie what her favourite biscuit was and said it was 'Custard Creams', unbeknown to Jodie that he'd built a 'Custard Cream' dispenser into the console. When Arwel was showing and let Jodie explore and play around, he told her to press the pedal, Jodie was thrilled!!! I LOVE THE NEW TARDIS!!!!

Custard Cream biscuits/cookies are one of my favourite things to eat. It appears Jodie loves them too, as when they designed the console, they asked her what her favourite biscuit was, but didn't tell her why they wanted to know. What a surprise to find out your very own TARDIS Console dispenses your favourite biscuit/cookie. Always look forward to seeing your reactions to Doctor Who. Great job 👏👍.

"Never heard of Moomen Beans" is a great throw away line. It reminds us that there is no reason why Earth or Human Beings should figure in the minds of any alien. It was clear how much The Doctor loves the TARDIS, a beautiful reunion.

I really liked the last episode but I was a little worried about 2 things: 1) That there wasn't going to be an intro, and 2) I feared that finding the TARDIS would be the season long arc. This episode alleviated both of those fears. and Jodie is freakin great

It wasn't great due to Chris Chibnall being bad at writing individual stories. But the characters were good including 13, and the visuals were great. I loved the visuals and alien planet and Harry Potter dementors, but the plot is Chibnall weak point, but the next episode will be written by someone else so it should be better.

Love your guys enthusiasm for DW. This series is so kinetic if you know what I mean? The pacing is refreshing. I loved the high scifiction concept of the moffatt era and my favourite episodes live in that continuity but fuck yeah it feels nice to just watch a more faster paced/reactionary Doctor Who again. Heads up for the Trent Reznor reference. NIN are my favourite band. damn could you imagine Trent scoring DW? That would be petition startingly awesome. Lovely reaction/review guys.

Just FYI, the snack the Tardis dispenses is a custard cream, a popular style of biscuit (or cookie) in the UK. Presumably it'll be this Doctor's Jammie Dodger! It's also Jodie Whittaker's favourite type. They incorporated it into the Tardis as a little welcome surprise. She didn't know it was going to happen, but was told to just go along with whatever the Tardis did as they filmed. They're fantastic dipped into tea, by the way!

Not the biggest fan of the new Tardis but I reckon it will grow on me. Enjoying Jodie a lot tho especially the lines *_Come to daddy... I mean Mummy... I mean..._* its just a great delivery. Not the biggest fan of the cinematography or new music compositions but hay it's hard to beat some of the amazing scores Murray Gold made. Overall I am enjoying it just hope they do some call backs to past events in the shows cannon and not pretend that all that history didn't exist this season.

It's so many things at the same time. Last week we had vibes from the Eleventh Hour, the pilot of the Unearthly Child, etc., this week we had hunger games and waters of mars vibes... really enjoying this stuff and Chibnall already answered some of my old and new questions and brought in some new questions like the "Timeless Child" and the Stenza's full plan. Loved the new intro (I think Delia would be proud). And the story was very cohesive to past and present stuff, like the sonic's tech and why the ships found them and the devices implanted in Graham, Yaz and Ryan even though the TARDIS was almost there except she wasn't, she was still phasing through. Love those little touches. I even like the new nickname for the TARDIS - "The Ghost Monument". I always wanted to see the so-called "crystal desktop theme" too (or at least one of them) and I found it interesting (did you hear it's going to be fully analog this time around, just like how Chris and Tennant's TARDIS was?). Man, there's lots of great stuff to pick up and while the show is taking itself a bit more seriously (which is a great touch imo), it also goes with the flow (just like the show usually operates). Even with all the juggling Chibs is making, each character gets a new layer to explore, and there's even space for new characters like Angstrom and Epzo (which were delightful in their own ways). I could babble all day... but I'm just really excited to find more and more each day and I like a good journey that makes me wonder about the Whoniverse (and the new cinematography really helps with those extra tones and color palettes).

David Blyth Listen buddy, you seem like a nice chap, but you see... you need to watch "Waters of Mars" first and then watch "The Ghost Monument" to get the bonus reference. I could spell it out for you, but I'm not allowed (by my conscience) to give spoilers to those who haven't seen it. Oh, and don't get it confused with the small water reservoirs NASA found on Mars, that's not the reference (it's close though). The episode was fun, at least for me it was, and no, I'm not saying nice things just for the sake of it, I give credit where I find it due, maybe that makes me rather "the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improblable dreams", but... I dare say, it also sounds like you don't like my opinion and you know it. Lots of love to you, lad ;)

Jero Briggs That's a decent angle too :) In terms of reference points/easter eggs, I got Waters of Mars. In terms of story, I got some Hunger games vibes near the end (as well as a Harry Potter vibe when those Remnants attacked the Doctor like Voldemort did to Harry), it did remind me of those things. In terms of story, it felt a bit different from other DW stuff to me, but I also heard a reactor who had this 'Enlightenment' vibe due to the space race thing, which is a great point. Last week I also got some Predator vibes and the coil in the train reminded me of something coming out of an H.P. Lovecraft novel, but it's never one definitive thing for sure.

Loved the Douglas Adams references, and I teared up when she walked into the TARDIS. I love the new look, it really looks like an ALIEN ship. It is a little dark, but I I love it. It did remind me of Tennant's room. There seems to be a lot of yellows and orange hues in both episodes. Great episode! I am glad that their not going FULL ON EPIC in vibe for each episode like Moffat got after a while. Just damn good stories but grounded in an odd but good and intelligent way.

That reference to the child that the talking cloths made. In the episode Utopia before opening the fob watch, the Master told Martha about being found as a child in a storm on the Silver Devastation - that may be what the cloths are referring to. However, the reference to the TARDIS coming every 1,000 years or so, implies the Doctor has visited because the Ghost Monument is the Police box version of the TARDIS. Did one of the Doctors deliver the child to the Silver Devastation and then just leave him?

It's been a long time, since I commented you......actually 10 months....and I'm pumped up for Season 11 of Doctor Who. I was definitely late.....watching The Ghost Monument. I worked yesterday, got home @ 5:50pm....and catched it at 11:40pm....didn't reair at 8 ( wished they DID 😔 ). Anyway, the title sequence / opening...what a modern interpretation of the Original theme. Segun Akinola worked his magic here, no eyes of Jodie's but....it'll do. The South African locations are amazing, equally amazing than the Spain locations for last year's Smile. Angstrom and Epzo, two pilots / racers seeking something, rivals at first, allies the next. The robot soldiers were scary, like the Weeping Angels w/ weapons ( no power to send victims back in time, but all the same ). The Remants..aka the Ribbons of Fear, psychically dangerous, intuitively fearful, I see a Pitch Black vibe stirring here. I love the Call of Duty reference Ryan imposed here, didn't see that coming, nor Graham asking for sunglasses...I'll let you get away with it 13, but we.....and me know who STILL owns the Shades ( hint hint ). Yasmin is slightly in the background in this episode....but it's temporary. And 13 herself, finally settling in as the Doctor, much quicker than Capaldi's first year four years ago...almost like Smith's first year eight years ago. And FINALLY the return of the TARDIS, a beautiful cobalt blue exterior...and the interior....an upgrade from 8's and 10's TARDISES....love the glowing orange crystals, main consule...and a custard dispenser...cake anyone 😋. Conclusion, The Ghost Momument was an enjoyable episode with Pitch Black and Maze Runner influences, scary psychic Ribbon creatures and a hectic yet smooth pace in action. Episode 3 is called Rosa, potientally the Thin Ice of 2018, finger crossed. Love your reactions to Episode 2, looking forward to the rest of Season 11....as for me, I'll try to catch it the encore airings on Saturday and stay up between 11:30-11:40pm for the new episode, talk about Late to the Party LITERALLY...wish me luck though. Anyway, nice to be back reacting / commenting with both of you, thank you for ❤ing on Twice Upon a Time almost 10 months ago, and well....let's get our shift on 😄.

There are already more memorable characters than in a whole Moffat season. Not that they really use these characters plotwise, but worldbuilding works differently from (good) plotting. The plots here are noticeable simpler so far, but that's okay. The one thing that actually bugs me, is the exposition. "Show, don't tell!" anyone? We had characters describe or better infodumping pretty much everything in words.

I've liked the episode. BEST things: Graham is love: love the delivery of lines, love the glasses, love the "Doc.", I LOVE this TARDIS because is a mix between a very mechanic TARDIS (and I was sure about it because it was clear from the start that this is a mechanic Doctor) and an alien creature. I prefer this over 12's one. WORST things (not really worst, just a little meh): too many people in an episode. For now, I''m feeling that there are too many people, so we can't focus on the Doctor or on the three companions. For example, Yaz is keeping to do almost nothing and we can see much of her personality and its a pity because I think she is a good actress. In this particular episode, the female pilot is taking too much the Doctor part and sometimes is a little frustrating. SUPER LOVE: The Doctor. I really really really like her.

The New Doctor Who Writers want a good kick up the Ass, The First Two Episodes were Awful, They seemed Far to long, Felt like the show went on for Hour,s instead of 50 minits, That,s how bad it was, watched the show in England ever since it began, in the early Sixties, The Show is so Bad now, I’ll never watch this crap again
