Dunno why everyone is so confused by the talking babies. British kids are just that smart. It's the power of our accent lol 😆 (honestly, I love how the baby they used to Eric looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown through lots of it, no matter what emotion the dub voice was aiming for) The abortion metaphor is an interesting inclusion in the ep as it isn't really a debate in the UK so prob more aimed at the US audience. But since a lot of things the Republicans are doing are now leaking back into the UK and causing ppl to question settled and solved subjects I guess it's good for us to preemptively protect ourselves before the Conservative party imports that too in desperation like they did with antiwoke which wasn't a huge thing in the public before they started hammering on about it.

I don't know. I wouldn't have picked Space babies as the first episode with the new doctor, it felt more like a mid-season "filler episode" to me if we ignore the first 15 to 20 minutes of explaining everything unique about the doctor. Honestly, was it really necessary to mention his 2 hearts and his adoption in the first episode. As someone who watched modern who multiple times, up to Capaldi (watching anything after that, once was plenty enough) I felt like the explanations were being shoved down my throat. I think modern who with the doctor and "reasonable logic" is gone, now we'll see a time traveling god/demigod doctor who's facing other gods in duels in a universe that couldn't be more different than ours. On one hand, I am excited to see this new version and new interpretation of the doctor, on the other hand, I am sad because the show I fell in love with is pretty much gone. Is it still doctor who after the established rules of the universe completely change? Would Batman really be Batman in a universe where he'd recklessly kill his enemies or where he gained superman-like powers?, or is it just a puppet dressed as the doctor or Batman in an entirely different show? I deeply disliked the part where he just left the tardis and told everyone his real name, tho we as the audience didn't hear it, the whooniverse, Ruby and her parents sure did. I feel like it devalues the entire storyline of river song and the arc about his real name, Clara reading his name in the library and then forgetting it, the trenzalore arc and so much more. What happened to the doctor, the doctor who promised to never tell anyone his name except to children? That was one of my favorite scenes of all Who, Peter Capaldi's speech before he regenerated. :,( I truly hope the old two head writers know what they're doing, know how they're planning on working with the mess a certain previous head writer made, and I hope disney isn't putting their cooperate, glibbery, long, money hungry fingers too much into their pot and messing everything up. The "NANNY" filter hopefully stays a one time thing. I've had enough musicals in doctor who. How many new episodes are there?, 5 with the 3 specials and 2 season 14?, and in how many episodes were musicals?, two? 2 out of 5? Please don't force doctor who to be something it simply isn't.

@@NoahAG I just checked, and you're actually right, kind of at least. It's labeled as season 14 episode 0, I assumed it was part of the 60-year anniversary special. Apparently it's something in between episode 1 and a special. So that would change my complaint from 2 out of 5 episodes (40%) with a musical in it to 3 out of 6 episodes (50%). So it's even more oversaturated with musicals.

@@NoahAG Well than, the baby episode was the first season 14 episode and as I said before. It's a very questionable choice to pick this storyline as the season starter.
