I almost consider this the War Doctor’s theme. It would seem to be a transition from the classic style to the modern style and it has that deep ominous dread that the time war has on not only the universe but the history of the show.

that does make sense as the tardis and sonic screwdriver props where made and shown in 2004 but dont forget i dobut they would of wanted to film 2 series of doctor who within a span on 1 year

I highly doubt the show airing a year earlier would result in Chris staying for another season. The issues plaguing the production would still be there and Chris would still leave after the one season

He wrote “extended” in the title for a reason, and the trailer theme was in a lower pitch. Not to mention, the 1963 bassline is absent in this version, so he did more than what you’re saying.
