A mashup reaction video for the "Dream" scene and End Credits from Day of the Doctor 50th Anniversary special.
I love all of the fan reaction videos I've seen for the 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor. I thought I'd try and put a few of them into one video so that the reactions could be seen simultaneously.
I've never edited anything before and found it extremely difficult. I know there are a lot of issues with my final edit but for a first attempt I'm pretty proud of it. I used PiTiVi on Ubuntu 13.10 and it kept crashing. I couldn't get the videos exactly where I wanted them and I totally gave up on trying to mix the audio. Also they kept going out of sync. It took me a full two hours to do the above. Huge respect to those who edit videos, it's really hard work!
PLEASE visit the youtubers who's videos I compiled above, their videos are all great fun and I hope give you as much enjoyment as they have given to me! My compilation only takes a little bit of their respective reactions, go to their individual videos for the full experience to see how they reacted to other parts of the 50th!

I was lucky enough to see this on the day of release at my local cinema. They had 3 screens showing it in sync with the TV viewing. And all 3 screens were totally sold out. I was lucky to score an excellent seat, right in the centre of the middle row. Was an amazing night. The audience reactions were fantastic :)

There are some things Steven Moffat did that I didn't like and some things he did that I did like but I have to say he did write a 50th anniversary story worthy of every one of those fifty years. Well done sir.

They're going to show the first episode of Peter Capalidi's doctor at the cinema at the same time they broadcast it on TV. If there's a cinema near you playing it you should watch it there for sure! :)

oh trust me, you werent, I was so counting, I found it even more fitting than the 12 standing together, as I know for a fact at least half of those WERENT the originals. 1 2 and 3 being dead, and 4 5 6 and sort of 7 being old(er) men now. Having all of them show up in the credits in chronological order was far more fitting

Watching this, something just occurred to me. You see Matt Smith walking straight out of the TARDIS to line up with the other Doctors, then as the camera pans out, we see the first Doctor standing where the TARDIS should be. Does this mean anything?

In the original script, there are only supposed to be 11 Doctors in the scene but because Eccelston does not want to take part, the War doctor has to be added to take his place. Now there are 12 Doctors and the Doctors' lineup would not look nice with 6 Doctors on one side of the 11th and 5 on the other. To solve that, they place the 1st Doctor behind them instead. I believe if the War Doctor is not in the script, that position would be where the TARDIS would be.

Interesting, though. I heard in my right ear someone mentioning that Hurt took up a regeneration, and that ... was interesting, because they said that meant Capaldi was the last. Yet they didn't catch on to the Metacrisis doctor.

John Wozniak Capaldi is the first of 12 new regeneration cycles plus, One regeneration cycle can be 12-13 regenerations so he was lucky

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not going to do anymore because video editing is bloody difficult. Also, the guy who made the other one you're refering to should be commended for taking the time to edit the videos together, it really is very difficult to do with the software we're using. You can tell I sort of gave up on these because the audio isn't mixed properly and the clips didn't align as I wanted (software kept crashing).

I do have one complaint about the 50th (besides it being too shortm. Lol). My complaint is that it seemed like it focused too much on the 11th doctor and not enough of the other two. Idk. Just thought Id share that.

TheDoctah I totally agree. When you look at the likes of 'The Three Doctors' and 'The Five Doctors', the action was equally spread across the featuring Doctors. But then there was the same issue with 'The Two Doctors' where the action focused mainly on 6 and not really on 2.

TheDoctah I disagree. Ten had his scenes with Elizabeth and when Eleven and Clara came to visit, the emphasis was on all of them. The Tenth Doctor was easily at the forefront of that shared scene- confronting the 'Zygon', leaving in his TARDIS, getting angry at Eleven's attitude towards the children dying on Gallifrey. Furthermore, any emphasis on Eleven was justified. He's facing death haha. If you had a multi-Doctor story in the Waters of Mars, you'd still need to address the fact that Ten's about to die and evidently not happy with it. The War Doctor got his own scenes and bare in mind that the most important scenes are in the Time War and that these scenes revolve around his decision. The others don't primarily make his decision for him. They come to his side. Furthermore, during the pre-freezing of Gallifrey, it was the War Doctor's idea to use the stasis cube, leaving the other Doctors impressed. Then you have the Moment, only revealing itself to the War Doctor. She opened the Time Windows for the War Doctor, not for Ten and Eleven. You're not approaching this issue from the right angle. You forget that this is Eleven's penultimate adventure (on TV), and you forget that the whole episode revolves around the Time War and thus, the War Doctor was evidently the most important Doctor in the episode. Once you properly analyse the episode, any emphasis on Eleven is completely justified, so to say that Moffat focused on him too much is a bit like a kick in the bollocks. He, as a fan himself, obviously wanted to use Tennant as much as possible. You're not going to bring in Tennant and Hurt and then have them taking over Matt's episode haha. Yes, these are my opinions but I'm providing you with the point of view you maybe overlooked. :)

I get it that, chronologically, Eleven regenerates pretty much right after this episode/movie. I guess my ultimate beef with this episode is that I dont think it's long enough. Keep in mind that Im well aware that 90% of Americans have the attention span of a fruit fly, but still. Lol. Oh and Moffat needs to step down.

It's most definitely how you're reading it so if you could apologise for jumping to your conclusion, I'd much appreciate it. Every debate deserves a counter-argument and it just so happens that I disagreed (and still disagree) with you on this issue, and was therefore able to provide the other side to your debate. Sometimes people see the alternate point of view and change their minds. Sometimes they don't. And both outcomes are fine.
