silly theory but maybe Clara will come back??? one of the toymakers clowns (in the 1960s episode w 1st dr) was called clara. i think it would be cool if they make clara the clown one of Clara Oswald's variants

Donna Dies. 1. A character is usually portrayed as near perfect to get the audience to love them in order to make the biggest impact when they die. 2. RTD's Doctor Who has ALWAYS been a tragedy. Think of bad wolf bay. Remember the "journey's end" episode, the "family of blood" episode, etc. 3. The Doctor's comment about not being able to save Donna sounds like foreshadowing. 4. The point of bringing back David & Catherine is to get fans re-hooked to the show. This is most easily accomplished by creating a huge emotional reaction to the story. Hence... Donna dies, and the Doctor travels with her child. Which is an attempt to transfer the emotions we will feel over Donna's death to her posterity. They'll probably even have her child use some of Donna's speech patterns etc to get us emotional hooked to the new companion. 5. If we are emotionally hooked to the new companion, and the new companion accepts the new Doctor, the audience is more likely to accept the new Doctor as well. 6. All of this makes it more likely the audience will continue to watch just because of the emotional impact. It's all physiological manipulation. "Only the emotional damage is real."

Main companions don't stay dead in NuWho (unless the actor dies, and I suspect some mention of Wilf will be there). Rose had they story of how she "died", but she didn't die. Jack died but only temporarily, many times over. One type of Osgood is a difference, admittedly. Those set up to die are generally introduced that story. "Lynda with a Y" being a prime example. Even River's death was her first story but is the one that breaks the template to an extent in that she would become a major recurring character. Amy and Rory's headstone is there, but they lived out long lifespans - just out of their own time. Donna doing an Adric or Katarina and dying in-story seems unlikely. It would, however, fit the "if she remembers she will die" that somehow she survived in The End of Time. It is possible though, as she is a new companion to the younger part of the audience.

9:18 Any idea what that might be over Sylvia's shoulder? Almost Metropolis (a move I must see one day) vibes, but possibly a giant toy robot of the Toymaker's. I doubt something of that size is there just as an incidental.

It's the front of the Cyberdog restaurant in Camden market. You see it in the first shot of the second anniversary trailer (the 1 where they revealed the titles of the episodes). ☺️

I hope not long, I'm not a fan of them having such a standout base. They were never a secret agency like Torchwood supposedly tried to be (sometimes), but generally a low key organisation.
