How is it ruined? The Wedding of River Song is a wonderfully weaved tale. Such boring drains on here.
@Mrazmatmahmood6 жыл бұрын
NPE 94 The emotional impact of Amy and Rory losing their daughter is completely glossed over. Mel being revealed to be River and growing up alongside Amy and Rory all along is a ridiculous attempt at softening the blow of them losing Melody. The Doctor using the teselecta is a cheap get out of jail card, which doesn't even make sense because the Doctor started to regenerate in "The Impossible Astronaut". The teselecta is a machine operated by humans. It shouldn't have been able to replicate a regeneration. It would've made slightly more sense if it was a flesh duplicate of the Doctor, but that thread was completely dropped and never mentioned again. Even then, the Eleventh Doctor was the last in the Doctor's regeneration cycle, so it would've still been inconsistent because he had no regenerations left. Why was it necessary for the Doctor and River to get married? It felt so OTT and dramatic for absolutely no reason. All of that emotional build up and drama felt so cheap, unnecessary and manipulative, when the teselecta twist was revealed. Also, it was never even explained how the Silence were able to control and blow up the Tardis and why they were willing to put all of reality in danger just to stop the Doctor from getting to Trenzalore? They were trying to save reality by destroying all of reality? Makes sense. Sorry mate, but you're the "boring drain" who can't seem to take it, whenever anyone is critical of the Matt Smith era.

Most people say he couldn’t save Clara because it would cross his own time stream, but the same could be said here since he was still locked up when river jumped. Dang I almost forgot why season 6 was convoluted and had so much flack. Its just way to ambitious, Moffat's a smart guy and loves to make complicated plots but he bit off more than he could chew. Threw in maybe 20 mysteries and didn't give himself enough time to actually solve most of them or explore them. Just made a weird mix of great writing, acting, and millions of plot holes that hurt the characters if you think about it too much.

They said it was an attempt to recreate a TARDIS, not a recreated TARDIS
