Disney recently released a new Doctor Who series starring Ncuti Gatwa, and the show has received pretty terrible audience reviews and has been attacked online a lot. However the cast of Doctor Who have responded to these online attacks and negative reviews, with some bringing up racism as the reason they hate the show. However in this video I break down why these statements don't seem to be true and go over the real reasons Doctor Who has failed.

The latest episode only gave him a few minutes of screen time. A bit at the start and a bit at the end. Almost all of it was the companion stuck on her own without him. Somehow, it wasn't that much better than the last few episodes have been. It was *really* boring, to be honest. So he disappears and she's locked out of the Tardis and stranded there with some weirdo staring at her from a permanently fixed distance of 73 meters away at all times... But they only went to Wales in the present day so she just sorta goes home and lives out her life. There was a bit of a subplot about some charismatic but vaguely creepy leader who will apparently do "horrible things" as prime minister some 20-ish years from now, and she weaponizes the mysterious nature of her stalker to get rid of him (anybody who gets too close to her stalker has some sort of mental break and goes into hiding) and then she continues to live out the rest of her life. And would you be at all surprised to hear that in the end on her deathbed she becomes her own stalker and just randomly loops back in time to the start of the episode and somehow magically prevents the Doctor from going missing, canceling out the entire episode. They go on as if none of it ever happened, because effectively none of it did ever happen.

I see a big problem with it. The first reason being that he has always been portrayed as a white British guy. Now the doctor has been a woman and then a black guy. At that point, you need to ask yourself why this change has been made. Was it for some compelling storytelling reason? No. Was it because they had an incredibly talented actor they wanted to make use of? Also no. It was solely for the purpose of pushing a political ideology. This is not only bad storytelling but incredibly racist at the same time. As for changing his sexual orientation, that's just more of the same. They did that for exactly the same reason that they race and gender swapped him.

There never has been a problem for most people with the idea of an alien who changes looks entirely ending up black for a regeneration cycle. If this happened even 30 years ago, most white fans would have thought nothing about it. But in 2024 when everything that exists now includes race swaps and is followed by people openly telling you it's for an anti-white, racist agenda against you, and when the show is already ultra-woke like Doctor Who became, and when the show is now run by the ultra-woke Disney company, it's kind of obvious what this is, and it deserves immediate push-back and criticism.

My father was a drug addict. When I was a baby, my parents separated because my deadbeat father had become a junkie, taking on heroin. This left my mother to raise me on her own. when I was in my late twenties, I had found out at some point he had quit, however had contracted HIV from sharing needles- which ended up killing him. My mother warned me from a young age to never do drugs, and to promise to be a better man then my father was. Now, at the age of 37, I can say without any doubt that I have never even considered to try drugs, including heroin. I am a little regretful of this however, as although I never touched a dirty needle, Russel T Davies and Ncuti Gatwa gave me aids anyways.

I find "gammon" particularly irritating. It is a common tactic for racists to denigrate the targets of their ire by reducing them to little more than animals, so it is unsurprising that racists like Gatwa would go in that direction. Except they go even further as to them white people are less than even the lowliest of animals. They are just meat. And yet it isn't even recognised as a racist terms by many "in power" such as Facebook or X, perhaps because you can't be racist to white people or whatever other convenient twaddle critical race theory has come up with as a get out of jail free card for them. Conversely, such obvious racism is allowed yet I sometimes have posts referrring to "globalists" removed due to anti-semitism, which is both confusing and says more about the censors than me, I think.

I recall all previous doctors would select their wardrobe and it would be the theme for their entire run. Tom Baker for instance was instantly recognisable by his hat coat and long scarf. From the text of that article, mr. Gatwa might want to invest some of his BBC/Disney money in mental health care. Counseling, reading material, and learning to love himself. I feel he has a lot of unrealized self loathing. Many times, this comes from a childhood where kids are raised to have to perform for attention. Perhaps, and I’m speculating here, he was made to think poorly of his sexuality, due to social pressures to be something he was not, or familial biases toward alternative lifestyles. This happens a LOT more than most people know. Folks who love who they love, but are shamed, by either internal, external or both forces. This shame manifests in a need, sometimes, to be loved so much, they feel perfection is the only way to achieve acceptance. Sadly, perfection is a limitation in and of itself. It is an unattainable state of being that sets one up for continua failure. This is the reason so many entertainers fall into drug, alcohol, or even other risk taking addictions. Even sexuality, for all its personal truths, can be turned into an addiction. Mr. Gatwa, if this article is to be taken at face value, places a ton of his self worth on the “acceptance” of others. And this should never, ever be the way one lives a healthy, and stable existence.
