His crowd work is nuts. Me and my girlfriend went to one of his shows at a club. She's... A larger lady and I'm pretty tiny. They offered us front row seats. Knowing it was dangerous I took them. He didn't work us over but at one point he complimented a group of older ladies and my girlfriend went "aww" and he just kind of side eyed us as went "I heard that". I don't know if I've ever laughed harder

@@touchmycamerathroughthefence i have seen both his specials but heres the thing if you make Jay perform for people who have never seen him before he wont be able to make them laugh.. As much as he makes fun of Chris D’elia for example Chris can perform infront total strangers who are watching him for first time and he will absolutely murder. If you cant perform in front of anyone you’re not a comedian. Another example have you heard of “Legion of Bill Burrs” ? … No and you never will bcs Bill just like Chris is a real comedian and can perform in front of whoever. But them three “comedians” need to create they’re own festival just so they have an audience to perform for 😃

@@m0rtred true. makes sense. im sure if i was there it would be a different experience...and i know being good at crowd work is an art form in itself, but as a COMEDIAN, to me.....just doing crowd work comes across as lazy. we all have friends who are funny in conversation. its easier to be funny in conversation than write really good clever jokes. so thats where im coming from. if you just show up and do crowd work, that means you never have to write, what the fuck do you actually do lol you just ask a person a question, and then spend way too long riffing on their response and drag it out way too long. and when he wasnt doing crowd work, Jay spent the majority of this special talking about a documentary that came out 5 years ago lol this shit was ass. his special before this was MILES better. i honestly dont even know how it took him so long to do another special if all he does is crowd work. he can do an hour of crowd work any day of the week
