Firstly CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 Hope your day is going beautifully 😊 I didn't get to watch at midnight as I was exhausted so watched this morning (no way I could avoid spoilers all day). I really really enjoyed this episode so much I forgot my son was going out with his carer and had to do a mad dash to get him ready when she arrived for him 😅🤦🤣 Would I give it a 10/10 not really there were a few nit pick's about it plus I am a mean scorer and rarely if ever give full marks. This episode truly cemented Ncuti as the Doctor he was absolutely brilliant. I actually enjoyed Ruby too and don't agree with the criticism of her disobeying the Doctor on chucking him the 'dead soldier' as a counter weight. Too many things could have gone wrong, her aim, him not catching it so many possibilities for disaster and she would have been dead if it did go wrong anyway. Using the beat of the music tied in lovely with the Devil's Chord and was a good way to do it for me. Ruby getting shot caught me by surprise but I noticed you and Tharries (haven't watched any other reviews at this point) both said she died, she wasn't dead she was dying, even when her eyes closed after the next of kin and snow she wasn't dead yet hence the Doctor trying to keep her alive by talking to her. He also used the narrative to try and get through to Munday almost succeeded as well. The father of the little girl saving the day was a nice twist for me and I actually liked the fact it wasn't the Doctor who did. However without his words too the father he wouldn't have been determined to do it. Nothing more determined than a parents love for their child. I also like the callback to him being a father himself and I do think that this will be significant later. I personally think that they just liked Varana's (sp?) acting and decided to add her as a new character later on with a bigger part. As they did with Karen Gillan and Peter Capaldi. Possibly they make make her a descendant of Munday or even an ancestor but that's it. Susan Twist appearing again hmm I don't believe she is the Doctors granddaughter Susan and did have my doubts before and I am not sure she is the big bad villain of it all yet seems to easy for that. My previous theory on why The Doctor never saw her face before went out the window (surprise surprise 🤣) as ge clearly saw her this time and seemed to have no recognition of her or sense that something was wrong so another theory bites the dust. 😂😂

@@TimeyWimeyReview ooh now that is a difficult question and umm there are a few that I will rewatch over and over so ok I have a terrible memory for episode names when put on the spot so sorry for the following 🤣 Are you my Mummy 2 parter. Silence in the Library/Forest of the dead. Turn Left. Day of the Doctor. The Doctor Falls 2 parter. Heaven Sent/Hell Bent I have quite a few that I would give 9/10 too and umm a lot may be in the Peter Capaldi era 😳

Why did the doctor not use the sonic to deactivate the land mine?

Thank you for your comment. Because that would be cheating (joke). I'm assuming altering the harmonics would have caused the mine to detonate. That or he could have used the Sonic and it would have been a very quick episode of Doctor Who 😉😆👍

@@TimeyWimeyReview he could have used a "force fieid" just like the one from "The Star Beast" to protect himself. But hey, yeah that could be cheating too 😂 😂 😂
