very biased here cause the 5th doctor is my favoruite doctor but imo Season 20 is the best Doctor Who season/series in it's 60 years of existence for me. Season 25 and Season 6 come close but every episode other than Terminus I really really enjoy. Cannot wait for the Season 20 collection hopefully this year.

@The Whoniversals Season 20? This was the year when JNT and the BBC should've capitalised on the popularity of Doctor Who in the America, and gained co funding from one or more American networks. And start it with the 20th anniversary season because this was a perfect example of where the low budget and drop in story quality was seriously damaging the overall season. Can you imagine how better the stories would've been visually and presentation? And yes, also focus on improving and creating consistent story quality across all the productions. Another idea I have is that they could've done is a stand alone story like "Mission into the unknown" set on the death zone? This would be a prelude to "The Five Doctors" following two beings who find themselves in the death zone. By the end, there's only one of them left, and in the closing minutes, the survivor thinks he or she is safe until being killed by an unseen danger. That could be in place of "Kings Demons"? But, it is clear this season's problems was a major reason for Peter Davison's decision to leave. David
