Amazing introduction. What Dalek Sec said about themselves, their purposes, their hope and destiny is absolutely necessary and true. We can all be like Daleks, never just about achieving our glory then rise from the pits of despair to supremacy, but to fight when we intent to survive and live better than face utter defeat and suffering loss. It is something I've been asked countless times by a lot of people to animate myself, and I actually do have plans to re-animate it and improve it. I noticed in the test animation you mentioned mechanoids, is this fan series taking inspiration from the 'Birth of a Legend' story in Doctor Who Files 11? Still cool either way to see a take on the origin story of the cult

I have adapted that short story into my series, yes. That was where the idea for this series came from. But instead of just showing how Dalek Sec became part of the Cult, it'll show the story of how each Dalek became part of the Cult and what happened after the Cult was formed.

They were indeed. But inside the Void Ship. I wanted the inside of the Void Ship to be a wide dark space much like the void, but not. You'll see what I mean when the series releases. Got big plans for it. 👀

@@theentity5201 Oh, there will be some scenes set in the Void in the series, definitely. And in my series, the gold banded Daleks will represent the grunt force of the Daleks, Dalek Soldiers, even lower ranks than the standard bronze drones we see throughout the modern era. Since Soldiers were bred only to receive orders and fight in battles.

It was put on hold because of stuff that happened behind the scenes, as well as the fact I'm now at uni so I haven't had much time to work on it since. The series is still happening, just much later than intended. I put up a few updates about it in my Community section a while ago. I have another, smaller, Dalek project coming sometime this year in the meantime (reason being because it would be a lot quicker to make than this one and I want to get something Dalek related out again while people wait for the Cult of Skaro series).

They're not a secret, they were created by and above the Emperor. The Doctor thought they were a legend, so little was known about them.

They were a secret, it was mentioned onscreen by the Doctor himself that they were a secret order, and the Emperor does state in the short story 'Birth of a Legend' that the Cult of Skaro was to remain a secret, but would be a myth, a whisper to strike fear into their enemies. And they did remain that way until 'Doomsday'. Only the highest Daleks in the Dalek Empire knew of their existence, while others who heard the tale would think it was just a tale, but their true purpose would remain hidden.
