I agree her run has been less entertaining than previous Doctors, but she’s only the actress so she’s following a script. If a show isn’t well directed, written, etc then even the best actors can’t save it (I reference Game of Thrones, Season 8).

I think it sort of works better without him actually. Rassilon acts uncharacteristically pathetic in Hell Bent, and it makes more sense for that to be because he's going through a particularly pathetic regeneration, rather than just being randomly weak all of a sudden.

Dalton's Rassilon would've murdered the Doctor right there for all that arrogance he showed in that episode. I get he's pissed but there is no way that all the time lords would side with the Doctor. The Doctor said they were corrupt and it would have to be a lot of them for him to wipe them out otherwise the Doctor could've started a revolution to depose Rassilon.

Rassilon was brought back from the Dark Tower in the Death Zone to save Gallifrey from the Daleks, and promptly re-established himself as dictator. The Time Lords went along with him because they didn't particularly want to die either. They were willing to annihilate the rest of the Universe to save their hides. Therefore the Doctor decided to end the threat posed by both Time Lords and Daleks by detonating the Moment in their faces. The Moment's operating system pointed out that slaughtering billions of terrified and helpless civilians for the genocidal plans of their ruling elite was a monstrous crime. Until he found out that he'd actually found another solution but couldn't remember doing it, the Doctor spent four hundred years wracked with guilt.

The Doctor screwed up his mission to Skaro in Genesis of the Daleks because he was too compassionate to commit genocide against the Kaled mutants. Later in their history the Daleks developed time travel technology and were able to hold their own against Gallifreyan aggression, becoming a real threat.

Rassilon's Narrations give the End of Time that truly 'Epic' Grandeur Feel to DT's Finale, which was truely awesome considering Doctor Who was raised the Stakes every season since Eccelstone. I think RTD and the Old Production Team wanted to go out on a Real Bang - and humiliate the New 'Matt Smith' Production Team, Well they did because I can never see Doctor Who Raising the Story Stakes this high ever again, because the 'New' Matt Smith Who is everything Tennants is Not.

RTD said Romana was Lady President when one of the Dalek Puppet Emperors declared war. She must have died and the Timelords resurrected Rassilon from his slumber as it was rumoured he was never dead. It wa also said he wasn't benevolent as legend had it but darker, ruthless and dictatorial. He must have been resurrected in the hope of winning the Time War.

I've noticed a lot of parallels between Doctor Who and James Bond. Dr Who started 1963 Bond in 1962 barely a year apart. Both were major long lasting franchises with an ever changing lead and a rotating door of female companions. In 1989 Doctor Who was cancelled and James Bond franchise almost died and it was years until another movie was made before both returned in 1996. While Doctor Who stayed off air afterwards the Bond franchise suffered from weak movies until it had a reboot in 2006 shortly after the Doctor Who reboot in 2005. Again barely a year apart. Now all we need is for the Bond franchise to die by casting a female lead and it will suffer the same fate.

Wait, so you think it is possible that, since it is never really explained where the Weeping Angels come from; and adding to that, considering Rassilon referring to the council members who voted against going to Earth as "the Weeping Angels of old", and the fact that he turned Borusa into a living statue in 'The Five Doctors', it is possible that Weeping Angels are actually petrified Time Lords? It makes sense to be honest. Time Lords gain their abilities through exposure to the time vortex. If they are rendered into a state where they must consume potential energy from victims to survive then it makes sense. Perhaps they were made as time lord weapons during the time war. Cursing the most evil time lords to a life time of loneliness, isolation and insanity and dropping them off in Dalek headquarters. Insane creatures that can't be killed and want only to feast on energy a perfect weapon against a Dalek.

Christmas is indeed a Christian Holiday, but it is a holiday created as a poor attempt by the Catholic Church to spread their worship during Winter Solstice as a replacement to the pagan holidays at the time they considered heretical. A way to pat themselves on the back and steal times of celebration from pagans. A day to celebrate the birth of their savior even when their savior wasn't even born during the Winter.
