Aw, I thought it was a great send-off for Mickey. He deserves to be happy and he and Jake looked like they will be great friends.

Fun fact: a deleted scene implied that Ricky and Jake were romantically involved.

And thus the pain of doctor who. Doctors and companions come and go.

I guess it's a good thing when a show gets you invested in a secondary character? There have been spin-off series from DW. I'm not saying what any of them were called, nor who was (or wasn't) in them. 😁

Yep, I felt the same way... he was a favorite of mine... dont worry other people come in and you'll soon forget mickey

But I don't wanna forget Mickey, lol. Although to be fair, I've already mostly forgotten about the last Doctor, and I liked the last Doctor. I guess the show keeps you living in the moment.

@@RGFamReacts it does.... almost all of the doctors and companions will grow on you and I imagine your favourites will constantly change...

@@RGFamReacts To paraphrase what is said in another episode: all things change, all through our lives; and that's okay, that's good, you gotta keep moving; so long as you remember all the people that you used to know.

It's mostly subtext, but Jake and Ricky were implied to be in a relationship. It's why Jake gets so angry at Mickey.
@andrewgwilliam48313 жыл бұрын
I think that subtext really only exists if you're aware that there's a deleted scene about it, and Jake's behaviour is better explained by him being a bit cranky rather than as someone who in other scenes is laughing with a man who looks and mostly sounds like his recently killed partner.
